Patch Notes (v0.8.2)

Sector Overhaul🌏

►All Sectors

  • The world has been reshaped to support driving/ATV usage across all sectors.

  • Lore has been more fleshed out. Updated notes found in the world can now be pieced together to build a more coherent narrative.

  • Adjusted/changed possible radio tower locations in all sectors.

  • The Grand Ruins & Mountain sectors has been completely cut from the game, and all their content has been moved.

The idea with removing these two Sectors is to make gameplay feel tighter by re-purposing their respective content in the remaining part of the world. You are now much more likely to stumble into interesting things as all content now resides within a smaller play-area.

►Specific Sector Changes

▻ Camp

  • Has a new exit on the western side, leading straight into the Lowlands.

▻ Oasis

  • Has been partly reworked.

  • Size of this sector has been approximately cut in half.

▻ Hangar (New)

  • Hangar is a new sector that makes up for the cut part of Oasis.

  • This is now the lowest tier/introductory sector in the world.

  • Some items previously found in the removed Grand Ruins has been moved here.

▻ Well-Excavation

  • Has been partly reworked.

  • Renamed the sector to Wetlands.

  • About 30% of this sector has been cut.

▻ Pit (New)

  • Makes up for the cut part of the Well-Excavation/Wetlands.

  • This is now the highest tier sector in the world.

  • This is the only sector in the world that requires a significant amount of materials to gain access to.

  • Progression related events previously encountered in the removed Grand Ruins and Mountain has been repurposed here.

▻ Lowlands

  • Increased jungle density.

  • About 20% of the sector has been cut.

  • Objectives related to Sigvard that was previously found in the removed Mountain sector has been moved to a new temple in the outskirts of this sector.

Interactables🚪

►Doors

  • Most doors that previously prevented players from accessing most sectors without having sufficient materials has been removed or their cost to unlock significantly reduced.

    At least 80% of the overworld can now be explored right off the bat.

►ATV

  • The ATV can now be driven anywhere in the world.

UI🎨

►World Map

  • Has been reworked to be up to date with all the world changes in this patch.

►Lobby

  • Changed the outdated tooltip text when prompted to join a slot in the lobby.

MISC🚩

►Metal Detector

  • A slight transition animation has been added for when zooming in/out on the metal detector-screen in an effort to make it less disorienting.

►Sigvard

  • Some parts of Sigvard's ramblings has been replaced.
