addedSidenote (Coming Up)The work for the next 0.9 patch will be to remove about 50% of the overworld to make the content of the game easier to access to allow for quicker playthroughs. So the Mountain , and the Grand ruins sectors will be completely removed from the game and their respective unique mechanics will be moved to new smaller sectors within the boundaries of the new map. You will also be able to drive the ATV anywhere in the world as well as upgrade it to be able to temporarily store items in it. See you then!

In this patch, I have focused on reworking the visuals of the game. This was to allow for gameplay during daytime as in previous versions, the game jumped straight to dusk as a way to cope with heavy GPU-loads.

A full rework of all lightning, shadows and object rendition features across the entire game was required to make this work which is why this one took some time to get done.

  • Complete visual overhaul of the entire game world.

  • Special weather conditions has been partially or fully reworked.

  • Interaction prompts has been clarified and visually overhauled.

  • Being on fire now lasts for a maximum of 30 seconds unless it rains or you get wet.

  • A new soundscape has been implemented to further help differentiate full-on nighttime from daytime in the overworld.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug where special weather conditions could be triggered locally for any client after exiting an in-door area which resulted in players experiencing different weather conditions at the same time during co-op play.

Sidenote (Coming Up)
