深空七号 Deep Space 7 changes
New Additions Added a new defense-themed map to the themed map menu. New weapons available on the new map: Heavy Sniper Rifle, Silver Pistol, and Assault Rifle.
Optimizations Weapon System Overhaul Weapons are now categorized as Primary and Secondary: Primary Weapons (ranged): Right-click to aim, Left-click to fire. Secondary Weapons (melee): Left-click to attack.
Combat Flow Improvements: No need to manually switch between melee and ranged weapons.
- Left-click alone triggers secondary melee attacks.
- Right-click to aim first activates the primary weapon, converting left-click to fire.
Equipment Slots
Primary Weapons: Up to 8 slots (cycle with Mouse Wheel, select via 1–8 keys).
Secondary Weapons
Up to 4 slots (cycle with Mouse Side Buttons or F5/F6, select via F1–F4).
Melee Combat Enhancements: Smoother transitions between first and second melee combo strikes. Second melee strike now includes a short dash. Melee attacks automatically adjust to ground strikes when: The camera is angled downward beyond a threshold. Only downed enemies or crates are within attack range.
Dodge System Overhaul Keybind Changes
Dodge: Spacebar (replaces stomp).
Stomp
Moved to Alt key.
Dodge Mechanics
Tap Spacebar to dodge backward; hold A/D + Spacebar to dodge left/right. Dodge is now usable while aiming, mid-melee combo recovery, or during weapon firing animations.
Post-dodge
Chain directly into a second melee strike (ground strikes gain dash properties). Brief damage reduction during the initial dodge frames.
Other Improvements Enemy Adjustments Added telegraphing animations for enemy grab/bite attacks. Enemies now perform roar animations. Improved enemy AI refresh rate and attack hitbox detection. Added execution skills for elite enemies.
UI/UX & Visuals Updated new player tutorials for the revamped weapon system. Added black soft-edge effects to sniper rifle scopes. Revamped keyboard keybind visuals. Quick Heal key remapped to T (to prevent accidental grenade throws). Sprint reloading no longer cancels sprint. Added blinking effects to weapon upgrades and backpack modules in the inventory UI.
Character & Gear Upgraded the default Wrench melee weapon. Redesigned the protagonist’s default outfit.
Smoother breathing animations across poses.
Bug Fixes Fixed challenge map medal display issues. Corrected unlocked outfit count errors in the wardrobe UI. Increased aim-down-sights speed for all weapons. Optimized map lighting and resolved enemy pathing/stuck issues.
Known Issues Controller support for the new weapon system is incomplete. Old save files may require re-equipping weapons.
