[Update Details]

New Mastermind Ability: 'Infection' Added

A new ability has been added to allow the Mastermind to more actively hinder the White.

Press the Q key near an object with an active Class Activity to infect it.

When a Class Activity is completed through an infected object, the player's Erosion Gauge will increase significantly.

(The current visual effect for infection is temporary and will be improved soon.)

Blackout Range Expansion & Cooldown Increase

Before: Interact with one circuit breaker to cut power in that area (90s cooldown)

After: Interact with two circuit breakers to cut power in all areas (120s cooldown)

We hope these features allow the Mastermind to play more proactively than before.

This update will be applied immediately upon this announcement!

[Upcoming Updates]

Although still in internal testing, we are developing prototypes to address current game issues.

Issues:

  1. Unintuitive Mastermind role and victory conditions

  2. Escape phase lacking the tension of a death game

Recognizing these issues, we are improving the game in the following ways:

  1. Immediate White victory upon Mastermind capture

This revamp will strengthen the Mastermind's role as a secretive architect of incidents while resolving the slow tempo following trials.

  1. Time Limit Renewal

Instead of a fixed 7-minute limit, the base time will start at 1 minute and increase as Class Activities are cleared.

Previously, players did their "homework" in a somewhat loose atmosphere. Now, they must constantly perform Class Activities to survive, capturing the true essence of a death game.

(We intend to create more tense situations, such as a White ironically becoming the Shadow to survive, or a hardworking White resenting idle players.)

We need further internal testing to see how well this works, but the renewal shouldn't take long, and we wanted to announce that it will address many chronic issues.

We will also bring a build with improved executions and a revamped voting phase, so please look forward to the next update.
