Deadly Cryptids changes
Deadly Cryptids 1.4.0 is just released and includes lots of new features and improvements that makes the intense experience even more fun.
The somewhat complete list: --------------------------- - Improvements:
Added new intro scene
Cryptids now have physics on deadth animations and explosions
Knife throwing is drastically improved
Magically take distant objects into your hand
Finding the knife scene upgraded to a giant worm and player needs to enter the mouth
Added item animation like switching knife grip and pistol gun-slinging
Weapons can no longer be dropped
Removed Bitcoin Intensity Factor
Removed Game type selection as only story mode is playable.
Main menu now usable in non-roomscale setup
Upgraded to Unreal Engine 4.25.4
Adjusted some weapons and hands to reflect real world size
Watch Menu look & feel enhanced
Water canteen has quality water
Scenes now have more eye-candy with lots of skulls
Gastank explosions will blow away nearby skulls and fly towards player
Performance tune
Large worms will push skulls in the air
Large worms and small crawlers cryptids have randomized skulls attached to its body
Controller Support
Valve Index Controller support
Oculus Rift with Touch Controller support
Shooting Range
Added handscanner to open door in shooting range
Added a 3rd person that is shooting
Added Linux style computers that display the help text
Added more eyecandy like military bags and equipments
Added better buttons to move the targets and switch help texts
Performance tuned
Kate:
Using better quality 3D model for Kate
Changed some dialogues
Kate will now present and reveive items in her hand
Kate now looks at player when talking
Kate will now show attention drawer when you need to touch her shoulder to continue
Remote interact with Kate
Weapons:
Knife throwing is drastically improved
Knife now sticks in to enemies on final blow
Hand snapping on actionable parts of items like magazines and sliders
Fingers now in better positions when holding items
Shooting now moves the trigger finger
Using the weapon slider on pistol now moves the finger
Weapons now have visuals for empty magazine and exact bullets in magazine
Item help texts now rotate towards player and have background for better reading
Bugfixes:
Fixed bug when backpack overlaps the holsters, the order which to store was unspecified. Precedence is now given to one that can store the item.
Fixed bug where giant worm got stuck spawning worms
Next release will include improvements to Kate like custom animations, facial expressions and finally speech. My new motion capture suit will take care of that.
