This is a small update, but it makes some really important improvements to the script --it polishes lots of dialogue, further beefs up all the character arcs and improves some of the sequencing. It also makes a few additional visual improvements --especially to the night time sequences! (Which look so much nicer now!!)
changedScript and SequencingPolished, rewrote and shuffled around lots of dialogue to improve flow, strengthen character arcs, and cut down on exposition. The main scenes that were improved are: Meeting the other survivors. All of Dr. Okaby's and Dr. Miller's scenes together. The Episode 5 ending.

fixedScript and SequencingFixed the "obviously" typo that was introduced in v1.6 (whoops!).

Patch Notes

Script and Sequencing

  • Polished, rewrote and shuffled around lots of dialogue to improve flow, strengthen character arcs, and cut down on exposition. The main scenes that were improved are:

    • Meeting the other survivors.

    • All of Dr. Okaby's and Dr. Miller's scenes together.

    • The Episode 5 ending.

  • Added some extra sounds, screen shakes and onomatopoeia bubbles.

  • Fixed the "obviously" typo that was introduced in v1.6 (whoops!).

  • Double hyphens are now used to represent em dashes.

Visuals

Scribbles

  • In Episode 2, the group is now shown in the same scribble as the zombie chasing them.

  • Hid around some anime posters.

Character Poses

  • Slightly improved Naomi's face design + moved her phone pose onto yellow cardboard + moved her hurt pose onto red cardboard.

  • Moved Sora's frown pose onto blue cardboard + made her phone pose greyscale.

  • Improved one of Max's weapon equipping poses and moved it onto newspaper.

Lighting

  • The backgrounds are now more greatly effected by the night time color filter, improving contrast and depth. This greatly improves the look of the night time scenes.
