Days Of Reckoning: Last Battle changes
Work on the battlefield environment continues, and I'm happy to share another development update.
Terrain vegetation is progressing nicely, and the world is starting to feel much more alive. I'm currently implementing different biomes, each featuring its own style of grass and vegetation to create more varied and visually interesting battlefields.
Each biome has its own atmosphere and vegetation style, helping every map feel unique instead of using the same visual assets everywhere. My goal is to make every battlefield immediately recognizable while still fitting the game's overall style.
Battle leaves its mark. 💥 Explosions now destroy nearby grass, leaving visible scars across the landscape after intense fighting. Although this is primarily a visual feature, it makes battles feel much more dynamic and believable.
There is still plenty of polishing ahead, but I'm very happy with the direction these environmental improvements are taking. Small environmental details like these help create a world that feels much more alive and reactive to the player's actions.
Thank you for following the development of Days Of Reckoning: Last Battle and for all your support!
If you like what you see, don't forget to Wishlist the game on Steam—it really helps an indie developer and ensures you won't miss future updates.
See you on the battlefield!
