This update introduces Intel XeSS support, improvements to controller navigation, a reworked firearm and blood system, and multiple bug fixes across the game.

  • Improved Controller Support: Better gamepad detection and joystick navigation in menus.

  • Performance Improvements: Optimized outline system and portal visuals to reduce performance drops.

  • Steam Deck SupportAdded optimized graphics presets for a smoother experience.

New Features

  • Improvements to several door interaction types.

  • Intel XeSS added as a selectable upscaler (fallback to FSR if unsupported).

  • Added Fimosoft startup animation.

  • Players can now select the DirectX version when launching the game.

  • Improved controller detection and menu navigation using joystick.

Fixes

  • Enemies will no longer attempt to attack the player if they cannot see them.

  • Fixed mirror visual quality issues.

  • Fixed footstep sounds not respecting volume settings.

  • Fixed an issue where Ray Tracing would not properly disable.

  • Fixed a bug preventing players from picking up the phone in the restaurant.

  • Improved visibility of certain dark walls that could cause confusion.

  • Minor translation fixes.

  • Fixed an issue where gamepad button prompts sometimes did not appear in menus when input mode wasn't set to auto detect.

  • Added preloading for certain effects that previously appeared incorrectly the first time the game launched.

  • Fixed an issue where some settings changes did not activate the Apply/Save button.

  • Reworked the entire blood, firearm, and shooting system (VFX, SFX & UX).

  • Introduced a more optimized outline system.

  • Added Steam Deck graphical presets to ensure good performance and visual quality.

  • Removed the Ray Tracing option.

  • Portals have been visually updated to prevent potential performance drops.

  • Removed Halloween 2025 Easter eggs.
