Darza's Dominion changes
Two years ago, we introduced Semreh and Attainments to the game. How fitting that we’re releasing Attainments 2.0 on its anniversary. This update includes everything from the original vision: Claim All, Trials, Shop, Tracker, and a bunch of new methods.
Claim All
Claim All is finally here. A few hundred of you have been clamoring for this feature, and we’re finally delivering. Go to the Attainments menu and click the "Claim All" button to be taken to the Claim All screen. From there, it’s as easy as pressing "Claim All".
Players with a lot of rewards don’t need to worry about their gift chests exploding. We fixed that issue quite a while ago. In addition, a new vault experience will be releasing in the hopefully near future that will let you see most, if not all, of your rewards in a unified way.
A quick look at some top players showed a few have a whopping 500,000+ score to claim, which will yield them over 2,000 items.
Semreh's Trials
Semreh is ready to shake things up with speedruns and no-hits. For an undetermined amount of time, Trials keys will be free in Semreh’s shop. Each group of 3 keys will likely last a week so players have time to compete. We’re doing this to stress test the system and see who can post the best times for future Attainment timings.
This may come as a shock to some, so we want to be very clear. No-hits were always meant to be locked behind some sort of key purchased with spendable score. They were never meant to be open to natural dungeons. This is evident with The Void and Hazy Grove not requiring you to be alone, despite all other dungeons requiring it.
From the start, the way we looked at Trials was this: get experience playing the game and running dungeons, then use that experience in Trials to speedrun and no-hit.
We’ll be taking a long look at the data and will adjust the price of keys based on what we see. Daily Attainments may also receive a boost to their spendable score rewards.
Semreh's Trials Modifiers
A lot of thought went into the mechanics of Trials, and we landed on the following modifiers. To ensure you focus solely on the task of the Attainment, Trials apply these rules:
No death
Lava will now disqualify you from the no-hit
Speedruns require a Stopwatch in your inventory and start the moment you move your character
No use of consumables
No use of dusts or other stat increasers
No loot
No EXP
No essence gain or discovery
No dungeon chests
No attainment progress besides Trials-category attainments
Select Title Removal
The Void and Hazy Grove titles will be removed from accounts that have received them. Unfortunately, The Void title was given to several people through accidental means. In addition, both were awarded to players who did not complete a true attainment.
All no-hits require doing the dungeon solo. We didn’t have the tech when Attainments were introduced to enforce this, but now we do. Go earn the titles again, and solo.
Trials Leaderboard
The Trials leaderboard is pretty self-explanatory. Rankings are broken into dungeons, platforms, and time periods. A neat detail: the character shown on the leaderboard is the character the player completed it on.
We’ll see about adding special rewards and/or cosmetics for players who get #1–#3 on the leaderboard, but that will come in a later update.
We’re also tracking a bunch of other information in the background that will be exposed via future Dispatch releases and leaderboard additions. We don’t care that you took 10 hours and used an Apothecary to finish the no-hit, but we’ll probably poke fun at you in a future Dispatch release.
Beta Trials
For an undetermined amount of time, we’ll be running a beta for Trials. Buy a Stopwatch and as many keys (they’re free) as you want, and let’s see who can clear the 3 dungeons the fastest. The prizes below are subject to change. Prizes will be given to the top 3 players for each dungeon and platform.
Prizes
1st - 1 Dispatch token + 50k spendable score 2nd - 1 Dispatch token + 25k spendable score 3rd - 1 Dispatch token + 10k spendable score
Semreh's Wares
Semreh’s shop is finally here. Browse an ever-expanding selection of wares, from weirdly sparkly oddities to unique finds. Check back often. You never know what’s been found.
Prices are subject to change without warning. All purchases are non-refundable.
We’ll be monitoring the data and will adjust the prices of items based on what we see.
Attainment Tracker
You can now track the progress of up to 3 different Attainments. Double click an Attainment’s icon and it will automatically be tracked.
New Methods
Strewn throughout are new Attainments and rewards for you to earn. There are also a handful of Pillar Attainments. Pillar Attainments are used to get infinite score. Only a handful exist right now, with more coming soon.
Daily Attainments
We’ve had an issue since the release of Daily Attainments where they would reroll if we took the server down. Daily Attainments are now truly daily. Even when restarting the server, the day’s chosen Daily Attainments will persist.
We’ve added a bunch of new methods to Daily Attainments. Bear with us as we get the numbers correct, especially with the addition of an additional reward.
Daily Attainments now also give spendable score. This spendable score will be used exclusively for Semreh’s Wares and will not contribute to total score or the leaderboard.
Future Additions
We already have plans for more Attainment-related content in the future. This is just the beginning. You can expect:
Party and Guild Trials
Weekly seeded trial runs that will be free to the players
More attainment methods
Rewards for top players on leaderboards
