Hard Hats and Party Hats

We’re closing out the year at Paleozoic with a few wins under our belt. To name a few: * We went to the **Unity conference in Barcelona** and ate tapas and froze on the beach.

What changed

0 fixes4 additions2 changes0 removals
  • Gameplay
  • Store
  • Maps
addedWe brought on a new developer
changedWe released our **first mini-game** on the **Meta Store** for **Quest 3**.
addedBuilt a good chunk of new programming and design for our next release. And the next.
addedThis week we have been building a little 1 week sprint that *(I the writer of this post have been trying to get people to call “Friday We Ride!” But nobody will do it but me)* is based on the Ancient Greek stories of the various oracles and what would it be like to stumble into one Goonies style. It’s going really great and the team is learning a lot of new ways to work together... fastly. (Don’t @ me, that should work.)
added“This is not unique or new!” You say. Imaginary reader. “Game developers release half baked sh*t all the time!” First off. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Clean it up. Second, I don’t mean “under construction” I mean UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Like with fake walls and temporary scaffold and blueprints laying around.
changedWe realized that with just a little extra work. Our in progress development builds could LITERALLY be under construction just like a real theme park. And YOU -the one person reading this! You will be able to walk around back stage in the imagine-ee-ring warehouses(do additional dashes prevent lawsuits?)

We’re closing out the year at Paleozoic with a few wins under our belt. To name a few:

* We went to the **Unity conference in Barcelona** and ate tapas and froze on the beach.

* We brought on a new developer

* We brought on a full time composer (what?)

* We released our **first mini-game** on the **Meta Store** for **Quest 3**.

* Managed to port the same game over to Oculus.

* Managed again! To port the same game over for **Steam** on various headsets. Many of them work as intended! *(Sarcasm, there are a LOT of headsets)*

* Built a good chunk of new programming and design for our next release. And the next.

* All the while we kept working on the main BIG game “Dark Ride” that brings all the mini games and the whole back story together.

This week we have been building a little 1 week sprint that *(I the writer of this post have been trying to get people to call “Friday We Ride!” But nobody will do it but me)* is based on the Ancient Greek stories of the various oracles and what would it be like to stumble into one Goonies style. It’s going really great and the team is learning a lot of new ways to work together... fastly. (Don’t @ me, that should work.)

But if you are reading this. And tbh, you are not, because we can see the metrics. But if you are then you are *here* to *hear* what we are doing next year! 2026 is gonna be a good one. Maybe. Seems like it anyway. I mean we are on this _other_ timeline in the world right now so anything could happen, but let’s ignore that. It’s Christmas.

As mentioned above. By me. We ALREADY have the next couple launches nearly ready. What does that mean in game production terms? Usually almost ready can mean anything from “next week” to... Infinity++. But honestly we are close.

As a company who has now **shipped** ahem. We know a thing or two about this sort of thing. And we’re tightening screws and the hard parts are done. Except the *really* hard parts that we have been skipping till now. Like really nice menus and loaders and stuff. Ah. Some day.

Side note. It’s good to talk here. Like knowing that nobody is probably reading. I feel like (I the writer of this post) can share anything I want. Even stuff the team thinks I should probably not say. Like that we came up with this idea where we can release some of our in progress stuff earlier and just have it under construction.

“This is not unique or new!” You say. Imaginary reader. “Game developers release half baked sh*t all the time!” First off. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth? Clean it up. Alright. I’m starting to bore even me and (I the person writing this post) don’t need that in my life. I have things to do. It’s a big world out there. I have shopping left on my list. We have a lot to build. A
