Summer is here, and Dark Hours is trading horror for sunshine with our brand-new seasonal event: Summer Break! From now to July 20th, here is what you can enjoy in this event:

  • Fully decorated maps & lobby inspired by summer vacations

  • Find beach balls and throw them at targets across the maps to earn seasonal tickets

  • Exchange your tickets for exclusive themed cosmetics

🔧 Bug fixes and general improvements

We've also made a number of bug fixes and general improvements to enhance your overall experience. You can find the full list of changes in the detailed patchnote just below 🔽

Monsters

  • Hideout Behavior FixFixed cases where monsters could get stuck repeating the same action when a player was hidden in a hideout, such as lockers or Cruise Ship wall hideouts.
  • Monster Navigation ImprovementImproved overall monster navigation, reducing cases where monsters could get stuck while moving.
  • Hidebehind

    • Gate Interaction Fix: Restore the Hidebehind's intended ability to pass through metal gates / grids / locked doors.

    • Light Interaction Fix: Restore Hidebehind reactions and interactions to strong lights.

  • Banshee

    • Frozen Camera FixFixed an issue where the camera could be blocked after being caught by the Banshee.
  • Trickster

    • Stuck Behavior FixFixed cases where the Trickster could get stuck in one location.
    • Appearance FixFixed an issue where the Trickster could only appear partially.

Gameplay

  • Mission Rewards Update: Mission rewards are now granted at the end of each heist, instead of waiting until the end of the heist night.

Level Design

  • Power Plant Loot Clipping FixFixed an issue where a loot item could appear through a wall on the Power Plant map.

Achievements

  • "Don't Blink. Ever." FixFixed an issue where the achievement would not unlock when breaking a Stone Stalker with a Fire Extinguisher.

Summer Break Event

  • Event Now Live: The Summer Break event is now active in-game.

  • New Seasonal CustomizationsAdded new customization items to unlock.
  • Balloon Shooting MinigameAdded a new minigame where players can shoot at beach ball targets.

UI

  • Lobby Code Space Fix: Lobby codes are now automatically trimmed of any leading or trailing spaces that could prevent them from being recognized as valid.

General

  • Multiplayer Stability FixImproved overall stability in multiplayer sessions.
  • Lighting and Visual Polish: Various adjustments to overall lighting and visual polish across the game.
