Summer Development Update
Hello everyone!
It's been a little while since our last update, so we wanted to share what we've been working on.
Over the past few months our biggest priority has been performance. We've completed several optimization passes across the game, improving particles, lighting, AI, and other core systems. We're happy to share that our medium-sized maps are now running at over 60 FPS during internal testing, and we'll continue pushing performance even further.
Our giant open world is still undergoing optimization and will require several more months of fine tuning before we're happy with it. At the same time, we're continuing to improve combat by refining attack animations, hit accuracy, and the overall feel of every encounter.

We've also been spending time polishing existing locations. One example is the Crystal Cave on Iona Island, where players will be be able to upgrade their weapons using magical crystals. The screenshots below show some of the latest improvements.

The temple exterior has undergone a major overhaul, featuring new vegetation, statues, and ancient altars that reveal its history while guiding players through its mechanics. And if you're the curious type, you might just discover a hidden stone that opens a secret chamber.
Summer is also a great opportunity to step away from our desks and recharge. During our travels we've been visiting medieval castles, villages, and historical landmarks across Europe, collecting inspiration that will help shape future locations in Danu.
See You at Gamescom 2026!
