Dangerous Land changes
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on the new 0.13.0 update for quite some time, and I’d like to share some progress with you. The next update won’t be released anytime soon, and I also don’t want to stay silent for that long, especially since the amount of new content I’m planning to add is huge, which is why I’m making this post.
As a reminder, this update and the following ones will focus on the new Conquest game mode.
I want the new mode to feel more relaxing, giving players the freedom to make decisions and choose their next objectives without constant time pressure. At the same time, it will offer significantly more mechanics and strategic possibilities.
In this mode, the player’s main objective will be to gradually conquer enemy settlements while also taking care of their own defenses, as the gameplay will revolve around strategic expansion planning, reacting to enemy actions, and fending off attacks from an enemy that will grow stronger over time.
Settlements will develop over time and gradually increase in strength. I want them to form a cohesive, interconnected ecosystem, where destroying one settlement will have consequences for the others.
To achieve this, the game will introduce a system for building palisades and gates, along with the ability to add additional elements such as archer platforms or defensive spikes.

The player will be able to create such structures from individual elements that will automatically snap together, making it much easier to build clean and visually consistent constructions.
Additionally, to further improve this system, once a building or wall segment is selected for placement, it will have a fixed orientation. Previously, buildings would always rotate to face the player, which made it difficult to place them precisely next to each other in a straight line.
In addition to the elements shown in the images above, the game will also feature reinforced versions of palisades and gates, as well as barricades, which will serve as an upgraded form of defensive spikes. However, it is possible that these upgraded elements will not make it into the game until version 0.14.0.
What I’ve presented today is only a small part of the new content planned for the upcoming update. The game will also introduce a completely new progression system that will allow players to unlock additional elements, mechanics, and upgrades after completing specific objectives.
The amount of content I’m planning to add is so large that not everything will be available right away. That’s why update 0.13.0 will serve as an introduction, and it’s very likely that even more new features will be added after this update.
When can you expect the update?
That’s a question without a clear answer. The update will be released when it’s ready, but it’s possible that I’ll share another post beforehand to keep you informed about the development progress and showcase more upcoming features.
