Update v0.1.2

First, let’s start with our current version of the game. We are already developing the next major update, which will bring bug fixes, improvements, and new content.

Yota

Let’s start with weaponry. We are adding one new weapon to the game that you can purchase at Bloodstorm or test out in Sandbox mode. We can’t reveal too much about this weapon yet, but it will feature a unique mechanic that may change your gameplay style—though not drastically!

Fixes and Improvements

Of course, we can’t release an update without fixes and refinements. Here is a list of what has already been fixed and added to the game:

  • Main MenuAdded a parallax effect.
  • Melee CombatIncreased the damage dealt during melee attacks.
  • Audio Settings: Volume changes are now applied instantly, allowing players to better adjust the game's sound levels.

  • Weapon FeedbackAdded an additional audio effect for when a weapon is nearly overheated.
  • NotificationsAdded a notification for when a weapon has cooled down.
  • BloodstormAdded a sound effect for the timer.
  • Economy Visuals: When a player finishes a Bloodstorm run, the earned money now has a "flow" animation moving toward the current balance, so players can clearly see how much they’ve earned.

  • AI: Various AI logic fixes.

  • CollisionFixed issues with falling through walls or floors, which was especially noticeable in the Hospital location.
  • DifficultyIncreased the damage enemies deal to the player on Hard difficulty.

When?

We don’t want to reveal the exact release details just yet. However, we can say that the update will be released by the end of this winter.

Quality Update

Now, we need to talk about something we’ve been planning since the game's launch.

We want Daisen to be a high-quality game so that in the future, we can focus entirely on the Story. To achieve this goal, our team is developing the Quality Update alongside and after version v0.1.2.

In short, this is a total overhaul of the game, primarily focusing on the visual aspect. We want to completely reimagine Daisen's visuals, adding missing elements and improving existing ones. Our special focus is on:

  • Characters: Overhauling enemies, NPCs, Emilia, etc.

  • Visual EffectsAdding blood decals from enemies, new overheat effects, environmental effects, additional enemy effects, and more.
  • Weapons: A complete rework of Grimolip and Archangel, improvements to Siris, and optimization for Scarlet and Tiara.

We will also implement gameplay improvements such as enemy attachments (armor, helmets, protective plates), enhanced melee combat, and improved AI to make enemies act smarter and navigate locations better. This update will be quite large and will significantly improve the Daisen experience.

Prelude

The Quality Update will take up a significant portion of our time. However, in parallel, we will be developing what Daisen is truly meant to be. Story Mode.

To avoid releasing a massive chunk of the main story all at once, we decided to create a short Prelude. It will include all the main aspects of the game, explanations, a finale, new enemies, and more. The Prelude is being developed alongside the Quality Update, so you won’t have to wait long for its release..

Summary

This will be a big year for Daisen. We are going to give you a lot of content and many exciting features that won't disappoint. We also want to emphasize that you can always influence the game's development and its future! You can join our Discord server to suggest your own ideas and improvements that you think should be in the game. Believe us, many of the fixes we implement are found by Daisen players themselves...

Overall, we wish you the very best in 2026, and stay tuned for future news!
