Thanks to feedback from streamers and playtesters, a new update has been released with several improvements to navigation, player control, and localization.

New Feature: Spirit Orbs (Guidance System)

One of the most consistent pieces of feedback was that some players felt lost and unguided in the maze.

While disorientation is an intentional part of the experience, not every player enjoys navigating completely without direction. To address this, a new optional guidance system has been added.

Spirit Orbs / Orbs of Guidance

  • Slain creatures now drop blue spirit orbs

  • These orbs are only visible using the wolf’s spirit vision

  • Approaching an orb will subtly guide the player toward the maze exit

Players who enjoy pure exploration can ignore them, while players looking for orientation now have a way to find the path forward.

Portal Behavior Update

Return portals have been adjusted to prevent accidental level transitions.

Changes:

  • Return portals now require a button press to return to the previous stage

  • Forward portals still activate automatically when entered

This change gives players more control and prevents unintentionally leaving an area.

Localization Tweaks

A few improvements have been made to localization based on player feedback.

Asian Language Text Fix

A text rendering issue affecting Asian languages at the beginning of the game has been resolved. The issue was related to TextMeshPro vertex manipulation, which caused problems with animated text effects.

To ensure proper display, the opening text animation is now disabled for Asian languages, allowing the text to render correctly.

Title & Menu Language Adjustment

Several Japanese players mentioned that the localized title and main menu text felt awkward. These elements are now left in English, while all other game text remains localized.

Thanks again to everyone who has been sharing feedback and helping improve the game.
