The v1.0.4 update focuses on improving the English and Japanese localization and enhancing the overall quality of the game’s text to deliver the story more naturally and faithfully.
Fans fluent in English and Japanese contributed to these localization improvements, carefully refining the text so that the characters’ emotions and the atmosphere of the story come through naturally in each language.

Localization Improvements
🌎 English Localization Overhauled: The existing machine-translated English localization has been thoroughly reviewed and revised. The context, character voices, and emotional nuances have been refined so that the original intent and atmosphere come through more faithfully in English.
🌎 Japanese Localization Improved: Revised several awkward expressions that remained after the previous review.
Credits & Text Improvements
- 🎬 Credits UpdatedAdded the names of the fans who contributed to the English and Japanese translations.
- 📝 Text ImprovedConducted a linguistic quality assurance (LQA) review and corrected typos in the script. We also revised several vague or potentially ambiguous expressions to make them clearer and more natural.
🌎 Russian Fan Localization News
We have some exciting news for our Russian-speaking mechanics!
[Trinity Team] has created and released a fan-made localization that allows D1AL-ogue to be played in Russian. We are deeply grateful for their passion for the game and the care they put into the translation.
Thanks to their work, we are truly delighted that the story of Chroma City can now reach our Russian-speaking mechanics.
