Cyberwar: Neon City changes
This update brings a Skill Tree overhaul, three new Drones, the fully finished Plushie Machine room, a wave of new music across the game, visual improvements, and a long list of fixes and balance adjustments.
There's a lot of new stuff to explore.
New Content
Skill Tree Overhaul — New upgrades have been added, including a Luck attribute that affects drops and rewards. Coin drop quantity and chance can now also be improved directly from the tree.
- New DroneVampire Drone — A new drone that drains life from enemies. Available for purchase at the merchant.
- New DroneVirulent Drone — A new drone that applies Poison to enemies. Features unique visuals and multiple upgrade levels.
Clear Drone — A new drone variant focused on area clearing has been added.
Plushie Machine Room — The Plushie Machine room is now fully implemented! Hook crates and with some luck walk away with a great reward.
New Light Trail — The light trail effect has been completely remade from scratch with improved visuals and fixed colliders.
New Fog System — A new volumetric fog shader has been implemented, including a mosaic layer for added depth. The fog on the 4th floor and Level Zero has also been updated.
Audio
New BGM added to the Marionette Room.
New BGM added to the Skins Screen.
New BGM added to the Dormitory.
New BGM added to the Greenhouse.
New BGM added to the Teleport Duck area.
New SFX added when healing.
Enemies in the Neon Coin Room are now stronger to better balance progression.
Talent Improvements
Tower Talent — New electricity visual effects added.
Pufferfish Talent — Now deals immediate damage to nearby enemies on activation.
Octopus Talent — Projectile layer adjusted for correct collision behavior.
Bird Grenade Talent — Fully revised; the explosion decal now disappears correctly.
Skill Tree Bonus Damage — Extra damage from Skill Tree nodes is now correctly applied to talent attacks.
New Skill Range Indicator — A visual indicator for skill range has been added.
General Improvements
Drone System Refactored — The entire drone upgrade architecture has been rewritten. Upgrades are now centralized and displayed consistently.
Older Drones Updated — Existing drones have been migrated to the new upgrade system with properly localized level descriptions.
Skill Tree Icons — New icons added with revised contrast for improved readability.
Whale Dialogue — The whale's dialogue lines now correctly save progression between sessions. New speech bubble design applied.
Occultist Minion — Animation adjusted for smoother behavior.
Joker System — Fully localized across all supported languages.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where the Pause Menu could be opened after returning to the main menu.
Fixed the Gum Trap behavior.
Fixed the Rifle shot not firing correctly.
Fixed the Shotgun charged shot not triggering correctly.
Fixed fog artifacts on the Village and 4th floor.
Fixed the Light Pole visual issue in Human Village.
Fixed edge cases in the Hack Puzzle Computer script.
Various small internal adjustments and script revisions.
