fixedWe're busy with free updates and expansion - so let's keep that rolling. With Update #97, we've buffed the mid-to-late game armor variety with another 20 unique sets. We've also completed a significant rebalance of Sniper buffing tons of Talents and bringing Strike Zone and JTAC down a little bit. We've also fixed some minor issues with the most recently released story (Project KHRONOS) and improved the automatic camera panning and angling in the game.
addedOur Save Game Policy and UpdatesSince you'll always be seeing a lot of updates around here, we want to reiterate our saved game policy so everyone understands our commitment to your games. No saved game will ever be invalidated by an update. All new content and features will be added immediately to all saved games (with the reasonable exception of New Game options). You never have to restart if you don't want to. This is a studio commitment that we have made and kept for many years and games. We stand by it. So do not stress about the deluge of updates that is coming your way - heist on my good heisters.
addedIncreased Armor VarietyWith Update #97, we've added another 20 Armors to the mid to late game. These armors can be looted or their Blueprints stolen. Therefore, their exciting value comes not only through the new combination of effects they offer but the ability to combine those effects with other Armor Blueprints you've stolen throughout the game. Thanks to the @Sticky Wicket and others who posted about this!
changedBuffed & Rebalanced SniperWith Update #97, we've revisited the Sniper class' balance to improve its position in the meta and open up more viable power builds with its Talent set. The Sniper class was one of the original 6 classes and can be a very powerful player on the team, but too much of their power and build paths have been concentrated on specific Talents, such as JTAC and Strike Zone. With Update #97, we've worked on addressing that from 2 angles - making other Talents in their tree more powerful and compelling and pulling Strike Zone and JTAC back into line as very powerful Talents that you're still going to take but less dominant OP elements of every Sniper build.
addedBuffed & Rebalanced Sniper(buff) Zeroed Sights has gained new capability with bonus to Optimal Range allowed to push Max Range beyond its regular max. While the starting Talent only increases Optimal Range by 10%, with the upgrade nodes it reaches +30% which will be pushing out your max range with most Sniper Rifles. For high end Sniper Rifles with 45m Optimal Range and 45m max range, this means the max range can get pushed out to a glorious and terrifying 60m. In addition, the ability to Ignore Recoil when taking the Zeroed Sights shot has almost quadrupled, going from -9 original to -32 now. So, you should be able to take the shot with solid Accuracy!

Our Save Game Policy and Updates

Since you'll always be seeing a lot of updates around here, we want to reiterate our saved game policy so everyone understands our commitment to your games. Increased Armor Variety

Therefore, their exciting value comes not only through the new combination of effects they offer but the ability to combine those effects with other Armor Blueprints you've stolen throughout the game. Buffed & Rebalanced Sniper

With Update #97, we've revisited the Sniper class' balance to improve its position in the meta and open up more viable power builds with its Talent set.

  • (buff) Zeroed Sights has gained new capability with bonus to Optimal Range allowed to push Max Range beyond its regular max.

  • (buff) Weakspot now starts with +25% Ballistic as extra Pure Dmg and after maxing its upgrading nodes can reach +75% as well as now maxing at +40% Drone Damage. Given its profile of charges and reloads, this establishes Weakspot as a very powerful hit, effective against highly armored targets and drones but also very effective against low armored targets.

  • (buff) Pathfinder can be used to move silently but with its new +25% Move Speed buff (up from +10%) it is also a viable way to just hustle into position or move quickly across the map. A Sniper has to be able to go from one nest to the next, always getting that good shot and so moving quickly - quiet or not - is very helpful.

  • (buff) Nest has had its Ignore Recoil bonuses increased from -2 per upgrade node (for a paltry total of Ignore 6 Recoil) to -5 per upgrade node (now ignore -15 Recoil) which can make a bigger difference in turns where you might be killing targets and forced to change target and then need to compensate for big recoil.

  • (buff) Hit Streaks can be hard to maintain, so we've buffed their rewards and increased the ability to keep their charges active without as many level points sunk into upgrades. Their Crit % per Hit Streak is now up to +5% from +3% before and the Talent starts with a shorter 3 Turn cooldown to help you get your charges back faster and help you keep building your streak. For this one, we may still be revisiting it as not quite enough yet - there may be some Ballistic Dmg % bonus per Hit Streak coming down the pipe, but let us all know how this latest upgrade feels.

  • (buff) Rapid Reload's final upgrade node to get +1 Max Charge now costs 1 level point instead of 2

  • (nerf) JTAC has had its starting AOE size reduced from 10m to 6m. The upgrade node that previously increased its Duration by +1 has been replaced by a node that adds +4m AOE, allowing you to invest to get that larger AOE zone back. In addition, we've halved the upgrade node bonuses to Accuracy and Evasion for anyone camping in the JTAC range, cutting ALL Accuracy and Evasion from +10% to +5 each.

  • (nerf) Strike Zone has had the same AOE range adjustment - the starting 10m AOE is down to starting 6m and the upgrade node that previously increased its Duration by +1 has been replaced by a node that adds +4m AOE to get back to 10m. In order to avoid super-stacking Crit % with JTAC, we have replaced all +Crit Vulnerability with additional -Armor % debuffs for enemies caught in a Strike Zone.

Project KHRONOS Fixes

With the Project KHRONOS story that was most recently released, we've fixed a series of minor issues with translations, dialog and improved the setup of some of the later missions in the chain. We also found and fixed a bug where Emille could be "held" by the middle link of the story chain and not released, which prevented the final link of the chain from starting. This update includes an automatic repair for any saved game in this state and you should see the final segment of KHRONOS now appearing. We've also increased its weight and chance to appear - so once the storyline gets rolling, it should "stick together" a bit more instead of being spread out over a longer period of time.

Better Camera Angles

With Update #97, we've adjusted the routine that is used to calculate the automatic camera angle used when panning to look at something. This includes when the camera pans to look at objectives, enemy spawning in and other events that call the camera's attention. Let us know if you feel an improvement and there are less cases where the camera ends up looking at a wall, rooftop or prop instead of at the point of interest.

  • Buffed Sniper's Weakspot, now starting with +25% Ballistic as extra Pure Dmg with upgrade nodes buffed to reach +75% final, +Drone Dmg now at 40% maxed

  • Improved camera auto targeting on objectives and other points of interest - less cases where blocked by wall or prop
