addedWe’re happy to announce the next update for Critter Cove. The Outfitters Update adds some long-standing player requests to make expressing yourself a lot easier, a brand new quest line, a minimap feature, new clothes, new Critters and more.

addedCritter & Fashion Loadouts (AKA Transmog / Vanity Slots) Steam post imageDress to impress without losing any stat-boosting items. The new outfit loadout system will allow you to pick two sets of clothing: one for practical use, like scuba masks and flippers, and one purely for style. You can also save five different outfits and easily switch between them.

addedJob Covers & Sickness NotificationsYou can now set Critters to cover a job, so that if the main employee gets sick, the new worker will take over the next morning and stay until the original worker gets better. No more days where your doctor gets sick and there’s nobody else to help out.

You can pick up this new quest line from Haystack in Port Bella once you’ve completed the earlier farmer-related quests.

Dress to impress without losing any stat-boosting items. The new outfit loadout system will allow you to pick two sets of clothing: one for practical use, like scuba masks and flippers, and one purely for style. You can also save five different outfits and easily switch between them.

But in the world of Critter Cove, style goes beyond mere fashion. You can also now easily save and swap your entire appearance via mirrors with just one click.

And finally, we’ve added a much more complete color picker into the game to help make fine adjustments to your color selections.

Minimap

You can now turn the game compass into a live minimap, which can also show you quests, Critters–provided that you’ve made bracelets for them–and robots. You can turn this on and off and tweak settings via the camera menu.

New Outfits & 6 New Critters

Introducing: Prism the Unicorn, Odus the Walrus, Tina the Kappa, Fernando the Bull, Ratthew the Rat & Selene the Luna Moth! Steam post image

Alongside our new line-up, you can also now buy the oil rigging outfit from Riggs. Rain jackets have arrived in the Clothing Store just in time to easily swap over using the new outfit loadouts, and we’ve made some variations on the open jacket that is a bit less ‘chesty’ for those looking for a more modest style.

We’ve added a ton of quality of life upgrades, but here are some highlights:

You can now pull materials for buildings directly from your chests
Harvester robots can now do more for you
Many controller improvements and fixes
Lots of tweaks and fixes to the Create-A-Critter system from last update
