Imelda treats her and then asks to take her into foster care. Cordelia resumes studying martial arts and becomes passionate about computer science and hacking. However, she continues to distrust people and has no contact with anyone except for the girls in the gang, particularly Imelda, whom she considers as a mother. Cordelia only feels at ease during bank robberies.
