addedHi all, first of all, Happy 2026! Steam post imageNaya and I have been working really hard on many aspects of the game, including combat, the new Otus tower game mode, Biomes rework, tons of new mutations and much, much more. The last 2 years of production have been focused on finding the identity and design of CRETE. 2026 is going to be the year of 3 things: - Polishing to oblivion until everything doesn't feel good, but feels freaking amazing. - Adding a huge amount of content until the main campaign has a first version. a.k.a: Biomes, Enemies and bosses non-stop. - Moving from Alpha to Beta. Small sneak peek, but here is a test with the new Antero bow and a more dynamic Melee combat, including more grounded dodges and a reactive camera work.
addedNaya is also working on the design of new otherworldly Ancestors and enemy types. What the hell is this? Steam post image You can see more of her work and what is coming to CRETE in her YouTube channel here: Naya_Fish - YouTube Finally, for those who are wondering when we are going to do our next playtest. I can already see that we are aiming for March , and it will include three biomes (all of them either new or reworked), three bosses, and a lot of new mutations, enemies, weapons, talents and proto-genes. Disclaimer: This may be one of the last public playtests. So keep an eye on updates! Thank you for all your support, and remember that you can support our development through Ko-Fi and get the game now and keep it forever (even if you insta-cancel). Yes, we are Indie AF.
