Hi there!

We are Foolhardy Games, a small team of passionate indie developers who have been building games together since 2021, mostly through small projects, game jams and a shared interest in making cool stuff!

After a lot of behind the scenes work, we are finally ready to reveal our newest project...

Crashbound!

Crashbound is a 2D side-scrolling town-building action game where you build, grow and defend your settlement.

You will ride out into the world and claim new land piece by piece, gather resources and build a growing town during the day. At night, you'll have to defend your town from ever-growing evil forces.

Taking inspiration from games like Kingdom and Northgard, we wanted to capture that feeling of riding out into the unknown and growing your influence. In addition to that, we wanted to give our players more control, more systems to interact with, and more things that could go wrong!

Crashbound exists to explore that balance between growth and vulnerability: expanding just far enough, and just fast enough, before the world pushes back.

What do you do in Crashbound?

Expand at Your Own Risk

Your town grows outward, one decision at a time.

More land means more resources, but also longer borders to defend when night falls. Every expansion is a gamble.

Two Very Different Halves of a Day

Days are for exploration, building, and recruiting new NPCs. Nights are about survival.

Workers take shelter, soldiers man the gates, and enemies emerge as a threat to what you’ve claimed.

Your Ultimate Goal

Each run ends when you rebuild the crashed airship and escape.

Along the way, you’ll uncover rare unlockable features that change the way you play. You won’t see everything in one run, but escape successfully and you'll be able to start your next run with access to those unlocks!

Where we're at

Crashbound is currently quite early in development. We have a bulk of the core mechanics in place but there is still much to do. We plan to keep sharing regular development updates and game footage, eventually making the game available to people to gather early feedback.

Please be on the lookout for further announcements in the future!

Sound interesting?

If this sounds like your sort of game, please consider wishlisting Crashbound!
