Repeated intro

Hello Cosmorists! No updates were released this month, but the game's soundtrack has been fully uploaded to the channel, and some progress was made!

What changed

0 fixes2 additions0 changes0 removals
  • Balance
  • Gameplay
addedNew shield stat: HazardShields also have a new addition: Hazards. This new stat blocks damage from environmental hazards, such as lava, poison, cactus floors, and hazards like it, although it doesn't block status effect damage! (Hazard icon indicated by the spike icon)
addedTechnical changesMost of these new changes were done in the first half of the month, but I've mostly been focusing on the technical side lately, especially the enemy code. Due to the game's enemy codebase, it's often a complicated process to add an enemy to the game, and the enemy codebase is now being rebuilt nearly from the ground up to be more flexible than the current one. This is where most of the effort's being concentrated at the moment.

Crafting manual

  • Due to the lack of information in the early game relating to crafting recipes, a crafting manual will be in the next update, allowing players to see all the crafting recipes in the game, and unobtained items are blacked out!

Sunset colors

  • Now for a graphical change. Sunsets and sunrises will glow with a red-orange tinge before going dark in the next update!

With these changes, alongside plans to scrap planetary exploration in favor of asteroid mining, and porting Aquatica's content to Tierra in the form of oceans, it's likely that the next update will be months away, and development will be somewhat slow for the foreseeable future, but I will get there eventually!
