What’s new
Quick Race (Single Player) You can now dive into a local multiplayer session with a single click bots included, no setup required. Speed over ceremony.
Better Bot Awareness The result screen now ignores AI when counting players. Because bots don’t wait politely—why should you?
Car Respawn Rework We’ve completely overhauled the car respawn system with a new system. It’s smarter, faster, and more respectful of personal space (i.e., no more spawning on top of each other).
Button Smash Fix Menu buttons now chill out after you press them—cooldowns have been added to prevent accidental double-pressing in the heat of a race.
Improvements
Camera & UI
Fixed camera FOV for 4:3 aspect ratio.
Adjusted intro cam angles.
UI layout fixes for widescreens.
Settings & Performance
UI now only shows width x height (bye refresh rates).
SSAO toggle actually does something now.
Anti-aliasing properly applies 8x MSAA.
Shadow settings revamped to use URP’s realtime properties.
Audio
Bounce sounds no longer ignore master volume.
Button sounds moved to the proper SFX group.
Crowd noise fixed on Sedna track.
Scene Transitions
Client readiness tracking during scene load—less waiting, fewer bugs.
The game no longer stalls if the host disappears during car selection.
Fixes
🐞 Fixed car explosion on launchpad.
🐞 Fixed rematch buttons not enabling when bots are still racing.
🐞 Fixed chat messages duplicating across server/clients.
🐞 Fixed “waiting for players” logic to count only real humans.
This update is part of our Steam Racing Fest release, and it’s been a wild ride!
Thank you for playing, racing, and occasionally exploding with us.
As always, send feedback our way—especially if something feels off (or too on).
🏁 See you at the starting line.
