removedPlatform Deals: fully working againThe status bar alert no longer dumps you on the Dashboard. The deal popup is global, it's already on screen, so clicking the green handshake alert now leaves you on whatever tab you were on. The Weekly Brief card has been updated to match.
changedGame Awards: typo fixThree end-of-year award titles were rendering as raw variable names: [c]best_racing[/c], [c]best_fighting[/c], [c]best_adventure[/c]. They now read Best Racing Game , Best Fighting Game , and Best Adventure Game like the rest. Previous award winners in your Trophy Room will retroactively display the correct names too.
addedRival Console launches: lineup is now actually their lineupWhen a rival manufacturer launched a new console, the "Launch Lineup" section was showing your recent games if you happened to ship around the same week. Lineup is now filtered to games actually released on that console. Your own releases will only show up there if you negotiated a port.

Here's what's changed.

Platform Deals: fully working again

The deal popup had three separate issues stacked on top of each other. All three are fixed:

  • Accept now actually accepts. Clicking "Accept" was wired to the wrong action. The toast said "Deal accepted!" but the offer stayed pending and nothing happened. It now properly removes the offer, pays the advance, sets the deal on your project, and updates the platform relationship.

  • The popup is no longer hidden behind other modals. If a Weekly Brief, Release Celebration, or Story modal was on screen at the same time, the deal popup was painting underneath them. Bumped its z-index so it's always on top while pending.

  • The status bar alert no longer dumps you on the Dashboard. The deal popup is global, it's already on screen, so clicking the green handshake alert now leaves you on whatever tab you were on. The Weekly Brief card has been updated to match.

Refuse has also been aligned so it applies the relationship change consistently, whether you click "Refuse" or click outside the popup.

Game Awards: typo fix

Three end-of-year award titles were rendering as raw variable names: [c]best_racing[/c], [c]best_fighting[/c], [c]best_adventure[/c]. They now read Best Racing Game, Best Fighting Game, and Best Adventure Game like the rest. Previous award winners in your Trophy Room will retroactively display the correct names too.

Rival Console launches: lineup is now actually their lineup

When a rival manufacturer launched a new console, the "Launch Lineup" section was showing your recent games if you happened to ship around the same week. Lineup is now filtered to games actually released on that console. Your own releases will only show up there if you negotiated a port.

Platform Deals: no more self-offers

You'll no longer get Timed Exclusive or Featured deal offers from your own console. The weekly offer generator was treating your platform like any other holder; it now skips player-owned consoles when picking who's making the offer.

Staff Assignments: sensible default tasks

When you assigned a staff member to a brand-new project from the Project dropdown, they always defaulted to the "code" task, so a designer or marketer would land on code and you'd have to fix it manually for every new hire. The dropdown now defaults to the role-appropriate task (programmers to code, designers to design, artists to art, marketers to marketing, etc.). PM Auto-assign is unchanged.

While we were in there

  • Racing Team: firing staff now costs severance."Fire" was silently rerolling the slot for free. It now charges 4 weeks of the outgoing person's salary, posts a news line, and brings in a different replacement.

Thanks again for the reports, keep them coming. The detail you all put into these posts makes them genuinely actionable.
