Store Update - Hammer & Shield

2026 is shaping up to be a busy year for Company of Heroes, and what we revealed in our first roadmap back in December is just the start.

As the development team continues to work on future updates, we’re also taking the time to revisit older content to see if we can improve how we package things for players. This includes our DLC and in-game store offers. This work is ongoing and we hope to share more in the months ahead, but today we want to focus on the first DLC for Company of Heroes 3 – the Hammer & Shield Expansion Pack.

As Company of Heroes 3 has evolved since its initial launch, the way this DLC was packaged no longer matches our other DLC offerings. Having a Campaign Company, cosmetics, and two Battlegroups all grouped together has often caused confusion about what is or is not included in this pack.

Starting on March 20th, 2026, we will delist this DLC in its current form. On April 14th, 2026, we will release the new Hammer & Shield Battlegroup Pack. This pack will contain:

• The US Forces Advanced Infantry Battlegroup

• The Wehrmacht Italian Coastal Defense Battlegroup

This DLC will be priced at $13.99 USD but keep an eye on the Steam store for regional pricing for those outside of the US. Moving forward, the US Forces Advanced Infantry and Wehrmacht Italian Coastal Defense Battlegroups will only be available in this pack.

With the release of the free Topaz Rhino (2.3.0) update on March 31st, 2026, the British Forces Air & Sea Campaign Company will be made available for free to all players who own the base game. This update will also include a refresh and repackaging of our in-game cosmetic items, and we’ll share more information about that soon.

We hope that these changes will make it clear as to what you get when you pick up the Hammer & Shield Battlegroup Pack or any other Company of Heroes 3 DLC or in-game items.
