- Gameplay
We are proud to announce that Code.Breaker() has finally hit early access with the first act of the story! This is a big moment for all of us at HokaBento Studio, as this is our first official game release. We are happy to finally be able to share the fruits of our labor with you!
The current build contains the first act of Code.Breaker(). We are planning to release the game Act by Act over the course of the coming months. Buying an early access copy will also include all future updates and acts. The next act is due to be released in the coming month. In the meantime, we'd like to update the game with new features and fixes. There are some issues that turned up during the test period that we couldn't patch out in time for the early access launch. We want to address these as soon as possible. There are also some features we felt would improve the overall experience significantly. The following is a short list of updates we are planning to roll out in the near future. Some of these changes may be implemented via patch, others might be included in the Act 2 release:
Resolution setting options
Pixel perfect fonts for sharper text on higher resolutions
Glossary for in-universe terms that might be confusing to players
New facial expressions for all characters
Additional date dialogue options
A lunch date with Jay
The decision to go early access was a difficult one. We are a very small team, entirely self-published and first timers on top of that. We started this journey not long ago and are still learning. As such, we felt it imperative that we can gain feedback from players as soon as possible to make Code.Breaker() the best game we can. In the meantime, please enjoy this amazing artwork made by the talented Fyoriosity! We hope you enjoy your time in Seattle and love the world, and the characters inhabiting this world. Thank you for supporting the development of Code.Breaker().
