Known Issues for 1.0.2, and Upcoming Updates
The build is fairly well-tested, and should be playable for most users. However, there's some things we plan on updating in the near future. Here's a list of known issues we'll fix and changes we plan on making soon.
Crash upon second phase of level 2 [FIXED in 1.0.3, out now] A certain enemy in the second half of level 2 would crash the game upon taking his turn. This enemy has been removed pending further investigation. If this issue occurs to you, please update your game and try again.
Savegames created during certain points in the story may result in various cosmetic issues or crashes upon loading. We're working on fixing these. In the meantime, if you encounter such a save, please reload to an earlier autosave instead.
Some players are experiencing GPU crashes upon startup. This is a difficult one to for us to address, so bear with us if this is happening to you. We recommend ensuring your graphics card drivers are up to date. We're looking into what we can do to address these.
Characters in battle combat can sometimes get stuck. If this occurs, please press the "undo movement" input. If that fails, make a manual save, and then reload it. If you find your character appears to be "caught" on something while moving, wiggle them left and right slightly while pressing forward. We're working on making character movement across the battle grid more fluid.
Some VN scenes seem to be missing character art. We're working on adding VN characters to a few scenes which slipped our notice.
Enemies sometimes waste their turns instead of attacking. While enemies in the "Panic" status are expected to sometimes prioritize running away instead of attacking, we want to make the regular enemy AI more effective at searching for and fighting dinos. This will take time! The poacher AI is one of the more complex elements of the project.
If you encounter an issue, please use the in-game link to the bug report form. Here's a link to the report form here, too!
What's next?
It depends on what we hear back from you all! We'll work on the above improvements to the demo. As we make improvements, we'll announce them here. We're going to gather all the data we can from the demo and put it to use working on the full game. In the future, once we are further in development, we'd like to update the demo to include the introductory parts of the full game, with transferable saves, to let people get a preview of the full title. When we're ready to announce that officially, we'll do so here!
