Hi everyone,
I plan to rework the difficulty system. Currently, there are eight difficulty levels (including one cheat mode). My plan is to allow players to freely adjust each difficulty option—for example, turning permadeath on or off. I will also add seven difficulty presets corresponding to the current seven standard difficulties.
The downside is that players will only be able to change the difficulty settings on the preparation screen, not during maps.
For those who are curious, here are the available options:
Permadeath → ON / OFF
AI Level → 1 / 2 / 3 / 4
Enemy stat adjustments → − / 0 / + / ++
Reverse mode → ON / OFF
Extra items for enemies → ON / OFF
Base EXP → 24 / 20 / 16
Double EXP → ON / OFF
Bonus EXP multiplier → 0 / 1 / 2 / 3
Bonus Gold multiplier → 0 / 1 / 2 / 3
Must defeat all enemies → ON / OFF
Game over if one ally is defeated → ON / OFF
Initialize RNG → ON / OFF
This update should come fairly quickly (I do have a full-time job and a lot of games to play, after all ^^).
As for the script rewrite, AI will not be used at all. I plan to rewrite the original script in French (my native language). After that, I may hire a professional localization team to translate it into English and further improve the script. I’m not sure yet whether the rewritten script will be exclusive to the paid EX version, as hiring a professional localization team is quite expensive. Thank you for your support, David Nguyen
