addedNew Game Features!
addedWe’ve added a few new features to the play experience to help repeat plays and completionists out. We’ve been keen on following player feedback over the last month to improve a lot of pain points but also to introduce some new quality of life features. There is now a Speedrunner Timer added to the Gameplay Options menu. The Timer automatically stops during Level Selection, Menus, Pauses and during Cutscenes to get time tracking down to the millisecond. Level selection now provides a tracker for Faeries, Enemies, Secrets and Best Times. Now looking for that last faerie for an upgrade won’t require you popping in and out of levels. We’ve added additional sound effects for the Upgrade Screen, the Mushroom Bounce Pad, and Dagda’s Rage attack. Cutscenes now have a “Hold to Skip” feature to avoid accidentally skipping through cutscenes.
fixedFixed a rare bug where Haggish would lose mobility, eventually freezing in place and requiring an exit to the menu.. Fixed a rare bug where Kilcannon’s jumping height would be cut by half. Fixed a rare bug where Clakshot’s quiver capacity would drop to 6. Fixed a bug where some camera triggers in level 14 and 17 would stop functioning after respawning. Dagda’s Rage can no longer prevent the Boar from killing you. Fruit bombs have a more consistent behaviour and are generally easier to trigger a detonation than before. Previously, if the bomb touched the ground before sliding into an obstacle or enemy, was dropped instead of thrown into an air vent, or thrown too closely to a breakable wall, it may not explode as expected. Resolved a bug where Haggish’s charge punch would register a hit multiple times. PS4 Controller now works correctly with Windows.
changedVisual Improvements
changedThe Final Boss’s fight has visual clarity improvements to its weak point to indicate when the boss is shielded versus when it is not.

Bug Fixes

Fixed a rare bug where Haggish would lose mobility, eventually freezing in place and requiring an exit to the menu.. Fixed a rare bug where Kilcannon’s jumping height would be cut by half. Fixed a rare bug where Clakshot’s quiver capacity would drop to 6. Fixed a bug where some camera triggers in level 14 and 17 would stop functioning after respawning. Visual Improvements

The Final Boss’s fight has visual clarity improvements to its weak point to indicate when the boss is shielded versus when it is not.

Haggish’s ultimate upgrade, Dagda’s Rage, now has a new activation UI. As you damage enemies, you’ll see Fire icons light atop of Haggish’s head. When all icons are lit, you can unleash devastating power!

Small visual polish improvement to the enemies dash indicator line. More visual polish to levels in World 2. The Camp of the Dead Army (level 17) has a new ground terrain tile. The Deadly Peak (level 14) has its many, many spike assets turned to ice assets to better reflect the environment. Damage numbers now appear where your attack makes impact with a boss, rather than appearing in the same position every time. Clakshot’s activated platforms produce a new visual effect when enabled, to better draw the player’s attention and create a more clear link with the switch as it’s shot. Breakable floors and walls across the game have been swapped out for new assets. Additionally, floors which were intended to be broken by dropping a heavy block onto them now display yellow cracks, and are otherwise resistant to both fruit bombs and Haggish’s destructive attacks.

Other Fixes

The Deadly Peak (level 14) last puzzle section has a checkpoint in the middle to save the player's progress partway. A health pickup has also been added to the area, along with some minor layout tweaks to lower the chance of the player facing a setback here. The camera has also been zoomed out slightly further on Level 14’s last puzzle section to allow for easier navigation and puzzle-solving. Dullahan’s head will now properly dissolve into a horrible skull after being defeated. Balor’s maximum health has been lowered slightly. (15,000 -> 13,500) Balor’s attack patterns have been adjusted for balance: his falling boulders no longer target the player as aggressively, his enemy summons have been altered to imps in both of his phases, and his mid-fight moving platforms use a new, adjusted layout. Some of Balor’s attacks have had their colour adjusted for consistency with our visual language for whether an attack is dodgeable in a normal fashion, as opposed to “fiery” yellow attacks which can only be dodged using Kilcannon’s “Heart of Lugh” upgrade. Final boss layouts have been adjusted to cut down on unfair deaths. Added some extra time to a puzzle section on level 11 before the boar escapes. General audio-level balancing to get a more even volume across the game.
