Hey y'all! Sorry for the delay in getting this update out, things have been hectic around here, mostly in a good way. Barring any tremendous goofs, this patch should be the last real update to First Breath, as we're gradually gearing up for an Early Access launch in late 2026.

CHORDIOID: First Breath v1.3.1 Patch Notes

General:

  • Improved startup time

  • New audio synchronization system with improved consistency and precision

  • Added a new Strum model that looks better when overlaid with Notes

  • Strums no longer prevent Notes on the center lane from being hit

Modding:

  • Added BattleSectionSelect for dynamically choosing a section based on a condition

  • Custom Battles can now include dialogue files and dialogue speakers

  • Strum input guide no longer appears when launching a battle from the Godot editor

Accessibility:

  • Reworked a reduced-flashing version of a cutscene that wasn't adequately changed before (Apologies!)

  • Changed the language surrounding certain accessibility options
