changedEvery month until release, I will dive into a specific topic about the game to cover many areas such as gameplay, content, storytelling and so on. But for this first post, I'd like to take a step back and talk about what inspired this game.
changedThe core idea, as you may have noticed, is that sacrificing objects dear to someone will allow you to reshape their memories of a tragic event . But how far will you go ? And how will you deal with the foes hindering your progress ?
changedThis game idea has been in my mind for quite some time, but it took it's final shape through a concept known as the method of loci : basically, that you can strengthen your memories by visualizing certain objects you associate them with. Having that as a basic ingredient, I started to ask myself : what could a world where this is actually possible look like ? The topic of forgetting about painful events is really dear to me, and because I felt it would resonate with other people I decided to turn it into the concept of my first solo game.

The process of starting with a metaphor such as the locis to then ground them in a both futuristic and magical world comes from one of my favourite litterary movements, the merveilleux scientifique, born in the late 19th century France. It has really exciting aesthetics and ideas that I hope you will experience through the game !
