Thank you for all the feedback you all have given us in the last couple weeks since our launch. We have continued to review all your comments and concerns and have worked hard at this new patch. Here’s what’s been changed for version 1.0.4:
Changes:
Added small, wandering grubs in the first floor that heal you when you squish ‘em
Relic shop cutscene now plays after the first completed run
Relic shop cutscene, archives cutscene, and bone room cutscene are all now skippable
Body shop cutscene now is the second cutscene in the game’s progression
Changed the skip dialogue button on Keyboard & Mouse to “SPACE” instead of “ENTER”
Adjusted the pickup indicator for Keyboard & Mouse and the Body Shop
Adjusted rendering of enemies so they can be seen through foreground elements
Adjusted rendering of boss drops so they can be seen through foreground elements
Adjusted bullet crab shockwave collider to align more closely with its VFX
Body shop on any floor is now inaccessible until your second run
Redesigned the Post-run Summary menu to properly fit trinkets and separated the relic
Balance changes:
Slightly reduced damage and health scaling for creatures
Slightly increased player base movement speed
Increased major creature essence drop from 20 to 30
Changed Plump Mushroom to increase 10 flat HP instead of 10%
Impenetrable Wings ability speed increase reduced from 7% to 4%
Mule’s Kick movement speed increase reduced from 20% to 10%
Reduced cost of Vital Core from 500 to 200
Reduced cost of Bone Hoarder from 1250 to 500
Increased Bone Hoarder damage gained from 5% to 10%
Reduced cost of Fragile Confidence from 1500 to 1000
Reduced cost of Raven’s Gifts from 2000 to 1500
Increased cost reduction of Raven’s Gifts from 40% to 30%
Reduced cost of Mutated Evolution from 2500 to 1500
Reduced cost of Whale’s Fortitude from 3000 to 2000
Increased Whale’s Fortitude damage reduction from 20% to 30%
Fixes:
Fixed Echidna's Blessing appearing in the Relic Shop before acquiring it in the story
Fixed relic not properly persisting between runs (for real this time)
Fixed the Amalgamation not properly executing its death sequence when defeated (for real this time, we hope)
Fixed the left arm not displaying stats in the Body menu on Mouse & Keyboard
Fixed the “view menu” prompt from softlocking you during the tutorial
Fixed input device swapping for lore drop pickups and the lore drops in the codex
Fixed scrolling not working in the codex or the post-run summary
Adjusted out of bounds detection to help prevent players getting knocked out through closed doors
Fixed Katayama’s spin attack projectiles from disappearing randomly
Fixed settings not saving/persisting between gameplay sessions or defaulting properly
Fixed The Wardens boss music quality and made its loop smoother
Fixed Plump Mushroom not properly increasing its heals when stacked
Fixed the Post-run Summary menu’s trinket navigability on controller
