Minor fixes and balance changes (Demo)

Some adjustments have been made to lower the base difficulty slightly:

  • Enemy health has been lowered slightly across the board.

  • Pyre Imp elite fight now comes in a pack of 3, rather than a pack of 4.

  • Goblins deal less damage and are slower.

  • Passing through a fire sword created by the Conqueror boss deals significantly less damage.

  • Removed the Banshee enemy from the pool of enemies, its ability was unclear to play around.

Additionally, the chance for allies to appear in the shop when rerolling has been increased, and the default Commander, Field Medic Marlowe, has been updated to start with an Archer and a Cleric, instead of a Warrior and a Cleric. This should make the first couple of levels a bit safer and more manageable.

There have also been a few bug fixes to improve stability, with the bigger ones being:

  • Fixed a bug where spells would sometimes stop appearing entirely in the shop (after buying an ally).

  • The game will no longer proceed to the shop screen if you get game over at the exact same time as the last enemy dies.
