Causal Loop changes
Hey there, fellow explorers,
With tomorrow's launch on the horizon, we want to take a moment and give you a deeper insight into the content that you will experience in Causal Loop. ♾️
After four years of development by our small team of three, we’re incredibly proud of how the game has shaped up. To celebrate the occasion, we’ve put together a compact overview of what you can expect. We had an absolute blast creating this experience and we’re confident you’ll have a great time on Tor-Ulsat.
So, without further ado, this is Causal Loop in a nutshell:
A single-player, 3D, narrative sci-fi puzzler from a first-person perspective.
A signature, timing-based Echo System that lets you record and replay your actions through “Phase Rifts,” allowing you to multitask and cooperate with past selves to solve increasingly complex challenges.
An immersive sci-fi adventure where you explore the long-forgotten planet of Tor-Ulsat as exo-archaeologist Bale. Together with your artificial companion Walter, you uncover the chronicles of a lost alien civilization and unravel the mystery behind the strange power that allows you to fracture reality itself.
A playtime of 10–15 hours depending on your playstyle (and even more for completionists).
Seamless real-time cutscenes that integrate directly into the gameplay experience.
15 Chapters and 3 different Endings.
A comprehensive Dossier that organizes your discoveries and lets you dive deeper into the lore of Causal Loop.
Full UI-support and subtitles in 9 languages.
Complete English and German voice acting for all characters.
More than four hours of adaptive in-game music, composed specifically for Causal Loop.
Highly and carefully optimized performance to allow for the biggest possible range of PC setups to run Causal Loop smoothly.
Full mouse + keyboard and gamepad support with the option to flexibly alter keybinds.
Lots of accessibility and quality of life settings, including:
Different color presets and settings for color vision deficiencies.
Customizable color palettes.
Camera settings for players prone to motion sickness
Adjustable diegetic HUD elements within Bale’s helmet
Options to hide certain clues and conveyance info to increase puzzle difficulty
A built-in timer for levels and options to skip story events and certain types of cutscenes to provide speed and challenge runners with a better training experience.
Many collectibles and hidden Easter Eggs.
A detailed save overview, including level times, stats counter, collectibles, and plenty of secrets… can you find them all?
Well, that’s Causal Loop, everybody! We hope that you’re looking forward to the launch just as much as we are. We’d be very happy if you gave our game a go.
See you soon, explorers! -Kai & the Mirebound-Team
