Hello and welcome, Invaders!

Things in real life have gone haywire. BUT… I’m still here, still working, still doing my best. I am determined to finish this thing properly. And I will stubbornly hold on until I do.

Most recently, I have:

  1. Finished implementing the loot system

  2. Implemented the enemy waves and escalation system

  3. Refactored enemies to be easier to add to and maintain (important for future Workshop compatibility)

  4. Configured the initial biomes

  5. Finished the save/load system, INCLUDING AUTOSAVE

  6. Reworked dialogue to allow more dynamic conversations with characters

  7. Updated unit testing so that I can more easily avoid regression as I push forward

The biggest remaining item I have to reach feature parity with the previous engine version of the game is the Quest system.

Also, current outstanding wishlist numbers have reached up to 379! I’m pretty happy with that, considering I’m a brand-spanking-new developer, and the demo isn’t out yet. You all are pawsome. Way to keep me meowtivated!

If you want to help meowt, the best thing you can do is to thumbs up this update, share it, and just talk about Cats vs Aliens to people. The more folks pester me about how it's going, the easier I find it to push through the tough stuff and actually accomplish things! Three cheers for peer pressure!

Happy Invading!
