Praise be to God Tabal. Welcome, acolytes.

It's been almost a month since we released the Catechesis demo, and we want to thank you for the incredible reception.

Our God compels me to be honest with you... We expected to reach these numbers when the full game launched, not just three weeks after the demo!

We've been listening carefully to your feedback, and we've just released a new demo update with several quality-of-life improvements:

  • New setting "Lock mouse" to lock mouse cursor inside game window

  • New setting "Limit camera moves" to prevent camera from moving with player orientation

  • New setting to set cutscene audio volume

  • playstation controllers are now detected as expected on Windows

  • Diagonal movements are now easier to trigger ( also with a hidden setting to modify the dead zone )

  • World map movements with controller are a lot easier

  • Camera movements are smoother

  • Fixed dialogs not responsive when keeping down / up pressed

  • Fixed dialogs mouse click consistency

  • Fixed run that could be interrupted sometimes

  • Fixed terrains still dealing damages after loading

  • Fixed mouse clicks not taken into account sometimes

We're saving the bigger gameplay changes for later. First, we'd like to conduct a thorough playtest of the complete game and see whether those concerns remain or naturally resolve themselves in the context of the full experience.

So... would you like to know what God Tabal has planned for the future of Catechesis?

Here is our task board. As you can see, we're getting very close! We only have the final chapter left to complete, followed by a full playthrough of the entire game to test, balance, and polish everything. (It's a BIG game!)

In the coming months, we'll also need your help with the beta test.

The final stretch is going to be intense. If you'd like to support the glorious work of God Tabal, here are a few sacred duties:

  • Pray to God Tabal every night before going to sleep.

  • Tell your friends about our games.

  • Buy one of our previous games, they're heavily discounted right now!

  • Leave us a positive review if you enjoy our games.

  • Follow us on social media.

Amen, Tabal.
