Catamyst changes
Just popping in to quickly tell you about the next Catamyst update...
v1.1: Part One
I wanted to let y'all know what's going on with the 1.1 update. Since announcing the update, I've started full time work and so my time to work on the game has been limited.
Rather than just let the updates that ARE done go to waste, I thought it'd be better to finish up what I'm doing and then push it out as part one.
I'm still working on some finishing bits, and then testing, but it should be ready to go relatively soon. I won't promise a release date as I don't want to overpromise.
What's in Part One?
Here's a brief overview of what's included in the next game update:
Reworks
Status Effect system overhaul, including stackable buffs, potion-specific effects and more.
New Ward shielding system (+ upgrades), replacing Overheal and Damage Reduction.
"Imbued" upgrade overhaul (new and better effects!).
Catalysts now have a random rarity (rather than predetermined) to make decision making harder on you.
UI redesign (a new main menu!) + additional animations.
New Stuff
4 new powerful Catalysts.
2 new Potion types.
2 new Status Effects that come with the new potions.
Custom difficulty options - choose from difficulty 1-5, where 3 is the current game's difficulty.
Plus your usual suite of balance changes and bug fixes!
What about the other stuff?
Rather than a big "Part Two", I'm more interested in smaller regular updates. I'm thinking a couple upgrades here or new enemy there. Bigger updates will come individually, rather than a big grand update.
This works with my schedule and means content should come out a lot faster. Everything in the previous update post is still planned!
