addedGreetings, scholars! Steve here and I come bearing good news from Bohemia… Castle Dornstein has a new demo finished and ready for you to play!
addedA new demo, you say?
addedYes! The new demo takes you from Hemlock's arrival through his first ominous night in the castle. It features freshly polished gameplay with additional puzzles and brand new artwork. We're very excited to show it off and give everyone a chance to explore the castle. You can find the demo on our Steam page during this month's Next Fest (February 23 - March 2). We'll let the demo stay available for a few days after the festival too.
addedIt's been a busy start to the year here at Digital Mosaic Headquarters. We're currently working on the climax of the game: developing and play-testing the final puzzles, storyboarding cutscenes, and working on new animations. We even clicked 'Save' on the final background art, which feels amazing. We're in the home stretch!
addedI'm not gonna lie. I actually love the snow. Even as I write this, I'm sore from several hours of shoveling (I live in northern New Jersey, which means we get lots of snow and have practically nowhere to put it), but I know I'll be like a little kid all over again looking out the window the next time it snows.
addedHemlock is an academic, and he has neither the time nor the patience to believe in such nonsense. (As the lore master of the game, however, I know that Hemlock is an Aquarius and that his birthday was last week. Please celebrate his birthday by playing our new demo and letting us know what you think!)

2026 Q1 Steam Update

Greetings, scholars! Steve here and I come bearing good news from Bohemia… Castle Dornstein has a new demo finished and ready for you to play!

A new demo, you say?

Yes!

What's the latest development news?

It's been a busy start to the year here at Digital Mosaic Headquarters. We're currently working on the climax of the game: developing and play-testing the final puzzles, storyboarding cutscenes, and working on new animations. We even clicked 'Save' on the final background art, which feels amazing. We're in the home stretch!

How are you getting through the winter?

I'm not gonna lie. I actually love the snow. Even as I write this, I'm sore from several hours of shoveling (I live in northern New Jersey, which means we get lots of snow and have practically nowhere to put it), but I know I'll be like a little kid all over again looking out the window the next time it snows.

What is Hemlock's astrological sign?

Hemlock is an academic, and he has neither the time nor the patience to believe in such nonsense. (As the lore master of the game, however, I know that Hemlock is an Aquarius and that his birthday was last week. Please celebrate his birthday by playing our new demo and letting us know what you think!)

That's all for now. We'll be back in the spring with more news. In the meantime, connect with us on our socials for all the latest updates:
