Dear Castle Crafters,

Since release, you've smashed our concurrent player record by a mile. And we're honestly blown away. Thank you to everyone giving our little game a shot. 🏰

The flip side: more players meant more edge cases, and we uncovered a bunch of bugs we never ran into during Early Access + a few old "friends" showing up for the party🐛. We're really sorry about the rough edges. The good news is we've been heads-down fixing them, and King Debimius has been very clear on the stakes: fix or be fired. (You know him. He means it. Probably.)

Huge thanks for all the reports, they've been incredibly helpful. Here's what we've fixed so far with your help:

Additions

  • Motion Blur setting

  • Salvage Tool in the Level Editor now salvages everything, including liquids

  • Tooltips explaining each game mode

  • Save prompt when hitting ESC in the Level Editor

  • Weather no longer changes in Level Editor (it's hard to build in a dark storm)

  • Added missing translations

Balancing

  • Sword damage increased in mid-levels for smoother progression

  • Bow damage increased in mid-levels for smoother progression

  • Telekinesis damage increased in mid-levels for smoother progression

  • No winged units before wave 5

Fixes

  • Fixed crash in Level Editor when placing Economic Zones

  • Fixed several things that weren't buildable in the Level Editor

  • Fixed time dilation after saving in building mode and reloading

  • Fixed "Restart Wave" not working after losing a battle twice in a row

  • Fixed Wellspring and Scorchwell icons overlapping in the skill book

  • Fixed lumberjacks occasionally mining rocks

  • Fixed level editor not working with profiles using randomization

  • Fixed level seed not reliably showing in the main menu on randomization profiles

  • Fixed missing foliage below a certain height in custom levels

And… incremented the version number to 1.0.0. 🙂

P.S. Did you know you can turn falling voxels into deadly traps? Try the"dangerous mushrooms"trick: build a mushroom-shaped structure, wait for enemies to wander underneath, then shoot out the stem. Timber! 🍄
