addedUpdate 0.12 has been released and is one of the largest updates to Capsa so far. It introduces online multiplayer racing through a new event system, adds several improvements to existing areas, and features an overhaul of ground vehicle item drops.
addedThe new online multiplayer racing events each consist of 5 stages. Each stage is a different circuit or checkpoint race that’s randomly selected from a pool of 18 different courses with various modifiers such as course direction. Throughout the event players will accumulate points towards a different level of rarity of item drop that’s rewarded after the final stage.
addedSteam post image Steam post image Steam post image Steam post image Steam post image To join an event, you can either accept one of the given invitations or through the radial menu manually select to join or put yourself in queue for the next event. Players can join mid event on e.g. stage 2 of 5 if needed. Steam post image Item drops have been significantly reworked in this update, including the addition of several hundred new items that can drop. These can only be obtained through the racing events, as well as hidden locked boxes as before. There is no limit on how many item drops you can earn through events each day, with each event typically lasting between 20-30 minutes.
changedOther changes in this update include additions to several areas, as well as updated spawn menu images for most locations. Loading has also been improved so it will be slightly quicker for most users (5-10 seconds less) but more imporantly it now shows the loading percentage for the individual map tile step, allowing you to see the real loading progress.

In addition to this, some parts have also recieved additional pattern options and nearly every vehicle customization item has recieved color presets so you can get ideas and a start point for how you want your vehicle to look.
addedBut this update isn't all vehicle themed, you'll find a new Bar in the Mataara area which features functional bar stools. The existing bar has been updated to also feature fully functional seating. In addition to this work-in-progress seating has been added to the dock near the creek in Mataara and Pond at Rohai, this allows you to sit on cushions with your feet over the edge.

To use the dropped items there is a new ground vehicle engine editor, which can be accessed via 2 key or via the radial menu when sat in a buggy. This system provides you with 8 engine slots, and you can switch engine slot independently to your currently chosen buggy; which means you can reuse the same engine across all your vehicles if you wish. This new editor also allows you to mix some vehicle parts together, so lets say you have a legendary carbon muffler but would prefer the silver bits to be gold; well, now if you have a different metal variant of the same part type you will automatically be presented with additional variants.

Other changes in this update include additions to several areas, as well as updated spawn menu images for most locations. Loading has also been improved so it will be slightly quicker for most users (5-10 seconds less) but more imporantly it now shows the loading percentage for the individual map tile step, allowing you to see the real loading progress.

In addition to this work-in-progress seating has been added to the dock near the creek in Mataara and Pond at Rohai, this allows you to sit on cushions with your feet over the edge.

Other noteworthy changes include time of day cycle when changing via command, this means for users on high graphics settings users will see the time of day move quickly to the changed time over a few seconds rather than instantly snap. Also added is improved responsiveness for lighting changes after leaving caves, and toggling the hide/show hud option; both of which should be fairly instantanious now.

There are many more additions in this update listed in the full patch notes below.
