We've been continuing to go through your feedback about the daily shop rhythm, drink upgrade flow, and town interaction experience. With the Ingredient Chest now part of the R&D Room, R&D and drink crafting have become much smoother. This time, we're extending that convenience to drink upgrades, while also adding something new to the Tapioca Town arcade and the gifting system.

This update mainly focuses on the brand-new arcade mini-game The Boba Godfather, improved material checks for drink upgrades, and double friendship points for birthday gifts.

🕹️ New Arcade Mini-Game: The Boba Godfather

A brand-new machine has arrived at the Tapioca Town arcade! The new mini-game, The Boba Godfather, is now available.

Inspired by classic retro drink-serving arcade gameplay, this mini-game asks you to keep up with a growing rhythm of boba orders, send drinks to the right spots, and chase a higher score as the pace gets faster.

If you've just finished a busy shop day, or you want a quick break between recipe testing, farming, and exploration, head to the arcade and give it a try. It may start as "just one round" and quietly become "okay, one more."

🔬 Drink Upgrades Now Check the Ingredient Chest Too

This update continues improving the material checking logic for drink-related systems.

Now, when upgrading drinks and consuming ingredients, the system will check materials from both:

• Materials in the player's backpack

• Materials in the R&D Room Ingredient Chest

In other words, as long as the materials have been placed into the Ingredient Chest, the drink upgrade system will be able to recognize them. You no longer need to move ingredients back from the chest into your backpack just to upgrade a drink and confirm the material list again.

For Boba Masters who enjoy preparing ingredients in batches, testing recipes, and organizing shop inventory, this should make drink upgrades much smoother. It also helps the Ingredient Chest better serve its role: keeping drink-related materials in one place and making the R&D Room feel like a truly convenient prep space.

🎁 Birthday Gifts Now Grant Double Friendship

The gifting system has also received a warmer little improvement.

Now, giving a gift to an NPC on their birthday will grant double friendship points! If you already know what a resident likes, remember to prepare something special for their birthday. The right gift on the right day will make your bond grow even faster.

We want birthdays to feel like more than just a date in the profile. They should be small, memorable moments between you and the residents of Tapioca Town. Maybe remembering someone's favorite gift on their special day will bring you a little closer.

💚 Closing Notes

This is not a massive system overhaul, but it continues the direction we care a lot about: making the daily loop of Tapioca Town smoother and more alive.

The new arcade machine adds a quick challenge outside of shop management. Ingredient Chest checks for drink upgrades reduce repeated item shuffling. Double friendship points on birthdays make each resident's special day more worth remembering.
