Hey Boba Masters! 🧋✨

We've been going through your feedback about backpack space, R&D prep, and the drink crafting flow. As more drink recipes, raw materials, and processed ingredients are added, backpacks can easily get packed full of all kinds of toppings and supplies. Having to check where every ingredient is before each R&D session can also interrupt the rhythm of running your shop.

So for this update, we're focusing on the storage experience in the R&D Room: after completing Chapter 1, the R&D Room will unlock the brand-new Ingredient Chest feature.

> 📌 This update mainly focuses on the Ingredient Chest, R&D material checks, and fishing rhythm gameplay fixes, making recipe testing, ingredient prep, and daily shop management smoother.

🧺 New Ingredient Chest: A Material Hub in the R&D Room

After completing Chapter 1, a new Ingredient Chest will be added to the R&D Room. You can store drink-related materials in one place, including:

  • Drink ingredients: various toppings and supplies used for R&D and drink crafting.

  • Raw materials: basic materials gathered, bought, or grown through farming.

  • Processed ingredients: materials that have been processed and can still be used for drink crafting.

The Ingredient Chest is not meant to replace regular storage. Instead, it is a dedicated material space designed specifically for the R&D Room and drink prep. When you need to test recipes or prepare ingredients for the shop, you won't have to stuff everything into your backpack and search through it again and again.

📦 Unlimited Capacity + Auto Sort

Before sorting:

We know the hardest part about managing ingredients is not usually the size of a single item, but the number of different materials piling up together until it becomes hard to find what you need at a glance. The new Ingredient Chest supports unlimited capacity, greatly easing backpack space pressure.

The Ingredient Chest also supports Auto Sort. When your materials start stacking up, one quick sort can make the inventory clean and easy to read again.

After sorting:

It may sound like a small feature, but it makes a very noticeable difference in actual play: your backpack can be kept for exploration, combat, fishing, and temporary pickups, while the R&D Room quietly stores your drink materials for you.

🔬 R&D and Drink Crafting Now Check Both Your Backpack and Ingredient Chest

One of the most important QoL improvements in this update is that the material checking logic has also been upgraded.

Now, when you perform drink R&D or craft drinks, the system will check materials from both:

  • Materials in the player's backpack

  • Materials in the R&D Room Ingredient Chest

In other words, as long as the materials have been placed into the Ingredient Chest, the R&D and crafting systems will be able to recognize them. You no longer need to move ingredients back from the chest into your backpack just to test a recipe or confirm the material list again.

For Boba Masters who enjoy experimenting with recipes, preparing shop inventory, and processing ingredients in batches, this should save a lot of repeated inventory management.

🎣 Fishing Rhythm Gameplay: Audio and Judgment Delay Fix

After the previous fishing system overhaul, we've continued to monitor the feel of the rhythm gameplay. This update fixes an issue where, in certain situations, the fishing rhythm game could experience audio playback and judgment window delays or desync.

The specific optimizations include:

Fixed cases where rhythm audio and judgment timing could become offset in certain situations.

Optimized the rhythm judgment refresh logic, making Perfect / Great / Good / Miss feedback better match the player's actual input.

Reduced the chance that long play sessions, scene transitions, or performance fluctuations could affect the feel of fishing rhythm timing.

If you previously felt like "I pressed on beat, but the judgment seemed half a beat late," this update should make the experience much more stable.

💚 Closing Notes

This is not the kind of flashy system that jumps out at first glance, but we believe it will make the daily loop of Call of Boba feel much smoother.

In a management game, material handling happens every day: farming, gathering, processing, R&D, crafting drinks, and opening the shop again. The Ingredient Chest is designed to reduce friction between these steps, letting you focus more on testing recipes, preparing your menu, or simply saving backpack space for your next trip outside.

Thank you to all Boba Masters for your feedback and patience. We'll keep polishing every corner of Tapioca Town so management, exploration, and daily life all feel smoother to play.

See you in Tapioca Town!
