In Calame, your decisions do more than shape the story, they define the identity of the Rebellion itself.

Throughout the campaign, Critical Events occur during battles and camp sequences. Each choice grants Alignment points and influences how the people of Westalia perceive your cause.

The Alignment system is built around two ideological axes:

  • Gottaran (Kenmare): Compassion for the people versus unwavering moral principles.

  • Deimonaran (Panthers): Loyalty to the throne versus the willingness to do whatever it takes.

Alignment points can be invested in the Alignment Tree, granting passive bonuses to your entire group.

  • Kenmare Tree: Focus on healing, defense, and experience gain during combat

  • Penthers Tree: Focus on attack, damage, and loot during combat

In Chapter 16, The Attack on Long-Ba, as the Iron Baron’s army marched relentlessly toward the rebels, the fates of Darran and Véra became irrevocably entwined. Together, they made a daring decision: instead of fleeing, they would storm Long-Ba Castle, free the witch women held captive within its walls, and welcome them into the Rebellion's ranks. However, the group is torn over which strategy to follow, and time is running out. Should they use cunning, or attack the castle head-on?

You can choose to disguise Vera as a prisoner to approach without arousing suspicion, which grant you two Deimonaran points, or launch a frontal assault on the castle, which grant you two Gottaran points.

Your moral choices influence gameplay, character reactions, and ultimately which ending you reach. The future of the Rebellion, and of Westalia, depends on the values you choose to uphold.
