Today marks the start of this year's Tiny Teams showcase! Tiny Teams is an annual Steam event/showcase to highlight games made by solo developers and small teams, and BYTE is featured this year's edition. :)
BYTE is currently in the Steam event, which you can check out here: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/TinyTeams2025
BYTE will also be live-streamed on the Yogscast YouTube and Twitch channels, in addition to the Tiny Teams Steam page on Saturday between 5pm and 8pm BST!
Tiny Teams will be streaming games from the showcase all week, so don't forget to check out the other games as well. You can find the streams here:

To celebrate the start of Tiny Teams and continue my ramp up to releasing BYTE fully, I have just put out a new version of the demo (likely my last update before the release) that features a handful of fixes and a coupe of new features.
Hot New Music
After two years, BYTE finally has more music! Five new tracks have been into the game and are interspersed throughout the demo. In addition to two new combat tracks, there are two new ambient tracks and a new substory/cutscene track. Play through the demo to hear it all!
Resolution Settings
Since the demo's initial release, BYTE's resolution has been automatically determined by the game, setting the output resolution to closest the game can get to your monitor's resolution and then halving the resolution if your monitor's is high enough.
In the interest of usability, readability, and fun, you can now manually override the in-game resolution! Aside from being able to change the game's render resolution, you can also manually enable/disable the half-resing, so you can customize the look of BYTE's rendering to suit your tastes.
Keep an eye out for more BYTE updates and don't forget to stay tuned for the full release on October 1st, 2025!
