addedSubject: Sixth Update: St. BernardHello, folks! Apologies for the delay in the update; last week was Steam Next Fest, and while we were not participating in this one, we didn’t think it made much sense for us to update the game amidst all the industry noise that happens around those events. So here we are now, with new goodies for you!
changedCompletely Overhauled PhysicsFirst off, we’ve put a TON of work into refining physics in the game. Moving items is much smoother now for everyone, not just the host! Moving items as a group is much more intuitive now, we rotate along with everyone's intent so if everyone walks around a grabbed object, it will naturally rotate with the group! Items will pull or push from the actual hand locations now making it feel a bit more realistic (and predictable). Heavy items will slow you down when moving them, feeling like they have more friction, while throwing items is now way more predictable for lighter objects, as there’s a set throwing effect. This scaled down until heavier objects after a certain weight, so bigger objects feel nice and heavy still, while smaller things are just.. Easier to toss around in general, making the mechanic WAAY more usable. Also, you can now also move other players out of your way! Got a pal distracted by Instagram blocking your way out of the truck? Well, push them out of the way! Phew! That’s a lot of stuff.
addedNEW HEIST: Heist at the MuseumAs for new content to play, we’ve got new MUSEUM heist for you. We built this thing live during our weekly dev streams, and so many of you have waiting for it.. and now it's here. This is our largest level yet, space-wise, and it’s a riot; filled with tons to grab, some really unique props (and some very big loot) and a whole lot of open space for burglary shenanigans.
addedNew Trap: TurretsAnd you couldn’t have proper shenanigans without minigun turrets. We've been wanting to add these for awhile... and now we have.
addedMasksOf course we’d give you some new masks to play with too. We’ve also added more perks to masks in general that go beyond just their money value. I particularly like having a Watermelon head.

Completely Overhauled Physics

First off, we’ve put a TON of work into refining physics in the game. Moving items is much smoother now for everyone, not just the host! Moving items as a group is much more intuitive now, we rotate along with everyone's intent so if everyone walks around a grabbed object, it will naturally rotate with the group! Heavy items will slow you down when moving them, feeling like they have more friction, while throwing items is now way more predictable for lighter objects, as there’s a set throwing effect. Got a pal distracted by Instagram blocking your way out of the truck? Well, push them out of the way! Phew! That’s a lot of stuff.

The short of it is: grabbing, dragging, lifting, moving, throwing, manipulating, and even looking at things with mal-intent on either the host or the client should just feel… more fun

We’d love feedback though, so please use that link right in the main menu to send us some! (or visit our discord at discord.terribleposture.com)

NEW HEIST: Heist at the Museum

As for new content to play, we’ve got new MUSEUM heist for you. We built this thing live during our weekly dev streams, and so many of you have waiting for it.. and now it's here. This is our largest level yet, space-wise, and it’s a riot; filled with tons to grab, some really unique props (and some very big loot) and a whole lot of open space for burglary shenanigans.

New Trap: Turrets

And you couldn’t have proper shenanigans without minigun turrets. We've been wanting to add these for awhile... and now we have.

They’re pretty lethal… both to you… and to your buddies if you feels like carrying this thing around. It's quite hard to control though and I usually end up killing myself. You might fare better! Technically I think you can loot these things too. We don’t do anything with that though... yet...

Tons of new Objectives

We’ve done a big pass on objectives, adding in many sillier ones. This is where the game really shines, as it's a ton of fun just to mess around with the looting and physics mechanics in general. Even more of these are going to be rolled out in future heists, but you can see a few of them live right now. That said, we really do need feedback on these. Are they too puzzling? Too hard? Are any of them particularly fun and we should double down on them as an idea?

Masks

Of course we’d give you some new masks to play with too. We’ve also added more perks to masks in general that go beyond just their money value. I particularly like having a Watermelon head.
