Hi @everyone,
Finally, my game's demo is out! Big thanks to all the playtesters who tried it and shared their feedback, I couldn’t have done it without you, so thanks again. I’m really happy with the current state of the demo and feel there’s enough content for now, so I’ll be focusing on the full release from here on. The only things missing at the moment are the eating animation and customer feedback, which I’m aware of and plan to add later. Though I’m not sure exactly when that will be.
If you’re curious about what’s changed since the first playtest version, take a look at the “Released” column on my roadmap. Here’s the link to roadmap.
I’m currently refactoring my entire game code to support multiplayer in the future and improve maintainability. Since this is a big change, it’ll take some time before I can focus on other tasks. I know most gamers might not be too interested in this behind the scenes work, but it’s necessary for the reasons mentioned. This also means I’ll be quiet for a bit, and you probably won’t see new updates on the roadmap. But don’t worry, I’ll still be hard at work on the game.
I’m also aware that my game is a bit weak on the art side, whether it’s sounds, animations, models, or effects. I’d love to improve all of these areas, but each one requires a lot of knowledge and creativity. Especially the creativity part, which isn’t really my strength. I’m more of a logic-and-algorithms kind of person, lol. I’m considering either mastering these categories myself, which would take an enormous amount of time, or working with artists, which would cost money. If I go with the latter, I’ll do it after the game is released and I make some decent earnings from it; otherwise, I can’t afford it right now. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I’m aware of this as well in case you’ve been thinking the same thing.
If you enjoy the game, don’t forget to add it to your wishlist to support me and help me gain more visibility on Steam. I’d really appreciate it <3. Thanks.
