Bum: Revenge changes
Hi, devs here
After gathering your feedback (and doing some debugging), we’ve made several changes to the game’s demo. Below you’ll find what is (probably) the complete list of fixes and changes.
General
Fixes:
Fixed an issue where client stats didn’t load after joining a game (leaving mid-match + reconnecting).
Fixed a bug that prevented money from saving properly.
Fixed the Melina Alibaby fight intro—client animation transition now works correctly.
Fixed equipping items with RMB in the inventory.
Fixed a bug that let you equip/use an item during the search animation, which left you stuck in third-person view.
Fixed the bed interaction icon—now appears at the correct time.
Fixed an issue that prevented re-entering a friend’s lobby after leaving the game.
Changes:
Respawn stats increased—now roughly 2× higher.
Trash-search animation sped up.
Added:
More pick-up items scattered around the map.
Smaller trash piles—these can be searched too.
New info pop-ups.
Missions
Fixes:
Kacper’s employee’s mushroom now replicates to clients.
Changes:
Objective name (casino-related) changed—now directs you straight to the security guard.
Added:
Some story tweaks—discover them yourself!
Drugs
Fixes:
Drug effects now clear on death.
Added:
Added cigarettes.
Dialogues
Fixes:
Fixed an issue that prevented talking to an NPC after a player left during a dialogue.
Added a cooldown for skipping dialogue.
Combat
Fixes:
Fixed enemy weapons not despawning after the enemy disappeared.
Changes:
Enemy damage reduced from 15-25 to 12-18.
Player base damage increased from 10 to 12.5.
Bat damage increased from 20 to 25 (player only) and range from 90 cm to 110 cm (player only).
Added:
Added weapon hit sounds.
Pedestrians & Begging
Fixes:
Fixed pedestrian dialogue ending before the line was finished.
Fixed cases where pedestrians A-posed while talking.
Pedestrians can no longer be moved while in conversation.
Changes:
Pedestrians are less aggressive—if provoked by begging, they hit only once (previously twice).
Pedestrians now have varied hit voices.
Added:
4 new pedestrians (more begging dialogues coming soon—promise!).
Casino
Changes:
Slot machine collision box enlarged.
UI
Fixes:
Fixed slot-machine info display glitches.
Inventory and shops can now be closed with the ESC key.
Fixed several localization issues.
Audio
Changes:
Rebalanced volume of some audio effects.
Lighting
Changes:
Improved overall lighting.
Nights and dawns are now much brighter.
Unfortunately, old saves are no longer compatible—you’ll need to start a new game.
Thank you all for your feedback—together we’ve made the game better.
After switching from sleep mode to caffeine (and maybe other stimulants), we’re finally heading to bed. We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this update after a long, well-deserved (at least we think so) sleep.
