changedMarch was a busy month for me! I was in Japan to expo Building Relationships as part of Tokyo Indie Games Summit and then in San Francisco to speak at this year's Game Developers Conference! It was a real honor to represent Thailand in the global stage, and it's also been nice to be away from the computer for a bit.
addedHow was Game Developers Conference?Coming up with the talk really made me think about my own process and forced me to verbalize how I approach each story beat. A lot of the things I've done so far has kind of been done through instinct, but I now have a much stronger pulse on my trajectory and what I need to do to get there.

March was a busy month for me! I was in Japan to expo Building Relationships as part of Tokyo Indie Games Summit and then in San Francisco to speak at this year's Game Developers Conference! It was a real honor to represent Thailand in the global stage, and it's also been nice to be away from the computer for a bit.

So how's the progress?

My forearm's been feeling a lot better (I got a standing desk and have been doing my stretches). And the overall break has just been nice for me to refresh and really figure out where I'm at. I'm still planning for a 2025 release, things are still on track. Turns out, when you try to mash two genres together, you end up having to program & design for two different games (who would've known LOL)

I'm also excited for where the story's headed. I have plans for the themes I want to tackle, but I'm giving it room to breathe and maneuver towards where it's supposed to.

How was Japan?

Tokyo Indie Games Summit (TIGS) brought a lot of locals, it's a good reminder for me for which parts of the game is still slightly confusing to players. I've been taking feedback and made it more clear where you're supposed to go and what you're supposed to do (like during the cooking minigame).

Also, trying to explain the game in Japanese has inspired this little tutorial section.

How was Game Developers Conference?

Honestly really good! I'm so thankful to have been selected as a speaker to talk about a niche topic like formulating comedy. I was very nervous, but had lots of people say really nice things about the talk to me :)
