Two New Classes
The Paladin and Ranger are now fully playable, bringing the total to six classes.
The Paladin is a front-row fighter who generates Holy Power through combat. Three skill tree branches cover raw damage output, defensive utility, and a Devotion build that increases the entire party's damage while the Paladin holds the front row.
The Ranger operates from the back row and builds Tension through combat. Abilities scale with current Tension and give you options for burst damage, armor shredding, or a second arrow at max stacks. Three skill tree branches cover precision single-target damage, crowd control and pin utility, and a hunt-stacking style that rewards staying locked onto a single target.
Both classes come with fully implemented skill trees, unique class resources, and complete item support across all four zones.
New Abilities
Each class has received new abilities, expanding the options available in each hero's loadout.
Two New Zones
Zone 3: Bandit Fortress Human enemies with more varied combat roles than earlier zones. Recruits, Cutthroats, Arcanists, Healers, and shielded Shieldmen each contribute differently to the fight. The zone ends with a boss encounter.
Zone 4: Obsidian Sanctum The Sanctum introduces Unraveling, a stacking debuff that reduces magic armor resistance, and a multi-stage boss fight that introduces new mechanics at each threshold including invulnerability windows, reinforcement waves, and a sustained pressure finale.
New Items
The item pool has more than doubled. Zone 3 and Zone 4 each add a full set of drops and boss loot.
Item Codex
A new screen in the hub. The Item Codex logs all items discovered after clearing each zone, organized by type, class, and source including which boss drops what.
The Chronicle
A lore screen in the hub that unlocks written entries as you progress. Three in-world views document what is happening across the affected regions from different perspectives. Entries unlock when you first enter a zone, defeat a boss, or survive long enough under Overrun conditions.
Music Player
The hub now includes a music player. Tracks unlock as you encounter them in the game and are accessible from the hub between runs.
Class Updates
The Knight skill tree has been updated and the Valor resource is now fully implemented. Valor generates through combat and enhances skill tree nodes. Each class has also received new abilities.
Balance and System Changes
Zone 1 and Zone 2 have been retuned. Enemy stats and phase scaling have been adjusted across all zones to ensure pressure holds through a full run.
An XP falloff system has been added. Farming earlier zones for experience becomes less effective as your party outlevels the content, but gold and item drops are unaffected.
Negative primary stat values have been removed from all gear. Items will no longer reduce core stats such as Strength, Vitality, or Wisdom through equipment penalties.
A bug was corrected where enemy damage scaling was not being applied during phase transitions. Several enemies across all zones were not dealing the damage they were supposed to.
